This is a very good saw for the money . i have owned many makita slide compound saws and find the Reviews of this saw and all the others to be ridiculous. Especially the accuracy issue . Most of the arguments center around fractions of a mm . The fence on my saw was out of square about 1 mm but it only took me about three minutes to fix it and now it’s perfect. You can pay double what this saw cost , like a 12 inch dewalt or festool but not get double the accuracy . enjoy

Also bought this miter saw back in 2019, just put a new blade on it and its still going strong, although it has taken some beating from a year long stay at a local skatepark here where everyone was using it for the build, so it needs some good calibration, also some exterior damage here and there but aside from that its still a beast! Pure quality that you expect from Makita. Im now looking to upgrade to a Festool kapex ks60 for finer work and more accuracy and still use this Makita for raw cutting and my outdoor/garden projects, hope to add another 5 years with that! Definitely recommend this miter saw 👍🏼

Hows the detent plates in makita doing. I heard people saying the aluminum detent plates gets in accurate results coz the slots gets bigger over time and need to be replaced over and over again. Should have made it in stainless steel.

За эту цену думаю лучше не найдешь. Углы все надо настраивать, для этого есть регулировочние болты. Я так понял при сборке там на глаз настраивают. есть небольшое отклонение пилы при протяжке, но не такой большой как у других производителей по этой цене.

Just received mine. Must say it’s a big beast 👍🏻. But the quality is not great, screws that hold the rubber feet to the base a to long, so the unit was resting on the screw head instead of on the rubbers. Guide rail is dray, needs many lube to start rolling properly, the rear handle that is used to lock the angle adjustment in place is not correctly installed so it will catch against the slider just before it’s totally extended........ not the quality I expect from Makita. These thinks are easy to fix for any DIY person, but they shouldn’t.

Я на эту ерунду воткнул цилиндрические направляющие на ... на склад надо топать, замерять. Короче, щиты 450 мм на ней, теперь и торцую. Одна беда, полых не было, пришлось ставить цельные - на жопу заваливается, с непривычки. А, да - и родной диск сразу заменил, топорный он какой то. Воткнул макитовский, но с каким то средним количеством зубьев - теперь нормально стало, хоть вдоль, хоть поперек. Ну конечно же рез не чистовой, да и пила эта не столярная, а плотницкая.
I sold this saw. Laser was not accurate 0,5cm left at the longest cut and for battery 🤦♂️. Dust colletion absolutely bad. Miter cuts used with that back lever were so difficult to use and had no lock to 0 degrees. I replaced it with LS1019L and tnat is something!!
This saw doesn’t use battery. And if you’re wanting a saw where the laser is your main source of precision guidance you might want to learn about marking up properly
Laser can be adjusted, show me a saw where dust isn't an issue (this is well documented so clearly you didn't read about mitre saws or indeed this particular saw which is no different to most of the others out there at this price). The saw is 240v mains powered not battery powered. Idiot

I bought this saw 4/5 years ago. Has been great, occasionally need to calibrate it, which is normal. Highly recommend it.
