I buy a good few flashlights a year. This is the most helpful video I have ever seen, and ive watched them all. Thank you. By the way I love my EDC35 and equally love my srt7i.
Fantastic review, as always! 👍👍 I take the EDC33 alongside an Emisar D4K (wear it on a cap) and absolutely love it. Great compact semi-tactical light for short bursts and self defense.
After seeing a few of these uhi emitters, I gotta say I love the practicality, but hate the lack of difference in range.. sure the lack of flood wil do wonders for searching, but I wish there was a bigger difference in range between the 2. But I may be missing the point,
Stunning nite shots PD. Like having two lights in one, the 35 was exceptional on close proximity spill. I’m looking for a new EDC, though I’m still not sure if I want the bulk of the 21700 35? If Nitecore is not interested in the lumen monster lights, I hope they might sell the emitters to someone like Acebeam. One can only dream!
My edc35 have died last week , while I was working the light turned on without any touching and when I had been realised what happend the flashlight cooked itself.
@@PiercingTheDarkness I don't think that's analogous at all. If I could have a smartphone with the features I need, and also with a replaceable battery, you can bet your ass I would be using it. Trust me, I've looked. Nobody is doing one. I for one will always advocate for not supporting any company who practices anti-consumer tactics.
@@NorthBorneoLightsyou’re like 40 over that screen shut up, 2nd of all you’re phone is probably a Samsung from the early 2000s, I wouldn’t be talking if I were you, you definitely don’t know about flashlights.
now this light is cool as hell and if i had the money i would get one for sure even tho im not a fan of this company i respect a good light and this is one of them i just got the sofirn SC33 and its pretty much the same thing but way way cheaper i only paid 23 dollars for mine and its bright and works great so i could buy 6 sofrin SC33 for the same price of this light so yeah maybe one day they will sell there products cheap like sofrin and wurkkos but i dought it
mate, same here. Same model sofirn too, haha. Apparently the auto lockout can be disabled on it, by clicking 4 times from when its off and locked. The auto lockout thing was something @PiercingTheDarkness mentioned as a downside on his review 9 months ago.

You mean you bought a cheap copy version of the EDC
what the batteries built in NO way thats not cool come on Nitecore your better then this and lower your prices as well sofirn and wurkkos are killing it because there some great lights for a great price
Hey, this is called "EDC" for a reason 😉. It is more intended to be used as a backup or casual light. Nitecore’s got plenty of main duty lights with replaceable batts. Gotta say the runtimes, in my experience, are pretty darn great. If you’re gonna use and abuse the battery everyday, then there’s plenty of other choices out there. Having said that, it’s actually a very good light ✌️.
@@lukesenaNitecore has interesting solutions, but unfortunately the technical data are far-fetched. Until people see an uptime chart from independent testers, they will be fooled.
@@lukesenaFor example, two models have been released on the market. The newer one has 1200lm high, and the old one has 900lm. So the newer one seems to be better. Well, the client doesn't know that the high power lasts 5 minutes and goes down. And the old model can maintain 650lm, and the new one 500lm. Thanks to this, the new model has "Operating time in high mode" written in its technical data and someone thinks that it shines longer with a power of 1200lm than the old model in 900lm mode. This is how you manipulate the customer, because the customer does not have and often has no way to obtain knowledge on this subject.
And there is another scam in flashlight data. There is, let's say, a 200lm mode and a specified time of 8 hours. It shines with a power of 200lm for an hour and then drops to 120lm to provide a longer time in the technical data. So basically, relying on the manufacturer's data is falling for false marketing. Artificially inflating data to outperform the competition. Fenix is honest here because it shows the working time chart. Surprisingly, it often happens that the chart is shown to the detriment of your own product.

This is a great review - gives me exactly the info I want, without a lot of fluffy chatter. Subbed.

@@PiercingTheDarkness спасибо
EDC35 😇🤩💯☝🙏
does the flashlight have a strobe mode
No strobe on these two models.
I choose the EDC 37 with a replaceable battery and a stable high mode. And if not EC 37, maybe EDC39😂
What edc37? Where?
You're delusional 😂
Did you just smoke something legit?
Silly goose 🤣
Whatever he took..
I want some😅
Just on principle I don't support manufacturers doing built-in batteries, whether it's justified or not.
I don't suppose you have a phone with a built-in battery do you? 😉
