    What happens if a participant experiences adverse effects during or months/years after the study?

    • @nucleus_network
      @nucleus_network  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi, all of our participants are provided with a number that they can contact 24/7 should they have any issues. If an issue does appear, we would definitely want to know about that, so we can inform the sponsor of that study.

      @@nucleus_network so the helpline is there to LET the SPONSOR KNOW?? That is inhumane. Your first response should be to make sure your Guinea pig is okay

    • @nucleus_network
      @nucleus_network  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, that's because the sponsor of the study knows their medication best, so we would work with them to follow up with the participant to ensure their safety and well-being.
      The medication may also be in further clinical trials after the one that we did, so it's even more important that the sponsor is aware of any potential safety concerns.

      I've done studies off, and on for years. Im not even sure how many, and I'd never had a side effect until the last one I did. I had a very slight allergic reaction to the medicine which caused my lips to tingle. It actually felt pretty cool! We had to take the medication for 12 days, and I felt that on most days that we were dosed. I did the study in July, and never had any effects after we were done taking the medicine. The study was 25 days, and I made $11,500. It was very well worth it!

      @@cilstr I've heard that they actually knock back a lot of Indians over here. Indians are seen as having more of an idea when it comes to medicine and the medical industry in general, and thus are avoided. Its assumed they'll ask too many questions, and pose a challenge. Or that they might have a medico relative they can confide in, where as white people are seen as being more docile when it comes to accepting unknown pills & injections, less cluey. The chance of litigation when dealing with Caucasian test subjects is lower, than when dealing with Indian test subjects.

      @@Workforce.Ausfailure interesting take.... when i was in the clinic last time there's a wide range of people from all over the place... before the pando - it was certainly more white... white back packers ... now there's none of them there's more diversity.. and they are still struggling to fill spots - compared with before the pando anyway... I would say they give everyone a go (esp now) and if they cause "trouble" they just wont be invited back.... but also... all questions are warmly welcomed in screening, and answered.

    Hi the Nucleus Network, I have a question about the pay. Do I get paid after we finish our trial or each end of the day? How long will it take to get paid? do we get paid cash?
    I an asking this question because most of us want extra money for some sort of financial obligation and also I have read some negative comment feedback from people on google review.

    • @nucleus_network
      @nucleus_network  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Gopal, that depends on the length of the study. Long studies will have milestone payments, other studies will pay the reimbursement within 10 business days of the end of the study. The payment is done as a bank transfer.
      We have worked on improving this process over the years - we know it's something we always didn't do a great job of in the past.
