Awesome job. Although that intake is doing you no favors. It’s in the engine bay, pulling in nothing but hot air. You should run the piping to the fender wall or right behind the bumper for actual cold air.
While sitting still yes, but once moving there is ample cool air flowing directly into the filters through the ram-air ducts in the grille/upper rad support on either side.

I have a 2002 CLK430 AMG with 200k miles and I have been thinking to do this for a long time but I'm still doing research. The car has been maintained well but will it hurt with all the miles on it. It has tge eurocgarged ECU tune and its strsight piped, And you should make another detailed video, because I'm not sure how the electronics run on the wide open throttle or if i do a button to engage the nitrous, should I let go everytime the car wants to shift or I can just hold the button and tge car will shift fine at 6k RPM?
i want one just like yours...how much? or could i do that to my 1993 2.6 190e? i would like to turbo it but nitrous seems like a way less expensive way to have a some reasonable fun. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

redbaron2448 LoL the fuel tank is not beneath the trunk. Bottle was mounted in the spare-tire well to the floor of it which is just a strong composite material.

thankyou sir! On a hot day with bottle pressure up around 1100-1200psi the 50 jets i have in should be good for 60-65hp gain. The kompressor motors are fine on it spray right into the blower!
Doing this to my M113 E500, did you do a Eurocharge ECU tune? Can you run a 50 shot with no tune or does it absolutely need a tune? Also 1 step colder plugs and a different fuel filter/pump setup?
@@DouEditz ok just wondering because I seen a guy on youtube channel "legitstreetcars" do it to a 99 C43 amg with the stock 4.3 M113 V8 and it work fine. I dont think those engines are forged are they?
@@davidjohnson1778 99 c43 comepared to s430 of same vintage. Exterior the engine is the same. Inside is different. Forged crank and pistons also internally balanced. Thats the difference... Dont think a 50 shot would hurt a 500 engine. But only one way to find out.
Just don't let the fuel puddle up in your Intake... composite intakes are notorious for turbulence... I would rather spray it into the individual intake runners. Much more even distribution. With a DR in Biomedical and a masters in engineering I know I'm right! I did that setup on my Lamborghini Aventador.
Thats great that you have those credentials. The intake manifold is aluminum not composite 1st off however, and second off the fuel will never puddle up spraying above 3500rpm like I did 15+ times in this vehicle and others with no adverse effects. Even distribution is definitely better with a direct port setup, but that level of modification and time is not necessary!

your engine is not forged.....AMG 55 is forged
