I accidentally crushed a mouse with a guitar amp years ago. I was just trying to move the amp to get to the mouse and the mouse ran behind it and was flattened against the wall. Whoops.
I currently have a rodent problem. Kinda a toss up on if it's a rat or mouse. Haven't seen it, but there's plenty of evidence. I've got sticky traps set out by its entry hole, and I'm listening for it so I can use a hammer on it. Heard it moving around a couple times today, but it hasn't gotten stuck in the trap. I am incredibly disappointed that I have NOT seen a rat or mouse in my apartment. I shouldn't be this giddy to see one.
But usually not a fast death. The metal bar doesn't always break their neck, it just traps and suffocates them, so you have to listen to the mouse thrashing around before it runs out of energy.
