Excellent darnipori made by aunty. The host shouldn’t have insulted her in the end by asking people on TH-cam to tell if the recipe is authentic or not. Small thing for many but not for a lady who has been making and perfecting the dish for years. It wasn’t a very nice thing to say. Aunty is so sweet that she ignored the comment and just smiled

Everyone asking for the exact recipe, I don’t know if you noticed but aunty made darnipori with andaza. Basically she is so good at it that she doesn’t need measurements any more. However I would say that you can begin with one cup of dal and one cup flour and use other item in similar proportions to what was used in the video. What you need to focus on is the technique rather than the exact quantity. For that listen to her instructions again. She gives really good tips on texture of the bread and the dal while she is making it. If you got the texture correct then you probably used the right quantity for each item. With one cup dal you should be able to make two medium sized darniporis. And the amount of sugar you add is simply up to you as some people like it sweeter than others but it should definitely be sweet enough to taste like a dessert

My mother would make these daar ni pori on an auspicious day called Aawa Ijat nu parab, then with other prayer ingredients we would all go to the beach and offer it to the sea with flowers and rice. My Mom and aunts would pray looking towards the sea. Then bring back rest of the poris as sort of prasaad. Sweet childhood memories. 💕

M married to maharashtrain. All cuisine r good but i still long for my parsi cuisine. My hubby dsnt like parsi cuisine. My mom has taught me exactly same method of Mkng this daar ni pori. Mom used to make it during muktads. Trust me guys it taste yummy.

The reason why I ask for measurements is because, I saw her using maida (more) and rice flour and Ravo (less) for the pastry/dough.. I also saw her using a manual scale and not a digital one. (The vessel one) may be I am wrong.
The last time when I made pastry/dough with maida, I don't know but for some reason it did not turn out good and in many other recipes that I referred to says that you make the pastry/Dough with Ravo only. So I am confused.
