Great vlog, it's great that all the Malaysian parks so far have let you film on ride. Some other countries, including the UK, could learn a lot from them lol. And the park itself looks great, so modern and high tech. I look forward to seeing what this could turn in to over the years. 😊

Thanks for taking the time to visit and review SkyWorlds it is really an underrated park. I believe if Disney allowed them to use the original branding name as "20th Century Fox World Malaysia" it might get the attention it deserved.
I'm now looking forward to the opening of Mad Ramp Peak and the unnamed SFX coaster too. I heard SkyWorlds is working with a major IP for the SFX coaster.

This park definitely has some interesting attractions and potential for definitely more to come.
I seem to be using the word wow a lot since you arrived in Malaysia but what better describes that little beauty hidden up there above the clouds. Now that to me is a trip of a lifetime, love it ❤. 👍

What a fabulous place I am so jealous I would have loved the ice age rides went to see the first film with mum at pics God bless her she would have loved the rest the place looks wonderful thankyou my darlings see you on the next one and Charlotte is right about the planet of the apes films the new ones are great and get better with each one the guy who plays ceaser is great see you tomorrow xx

Gentings Skyworld what an amazing place and as you say Shawn if it was in Florida or California everyone would be heading for it but because it’s in Malaysia it’s still little known. Love all the dark rides and those mountain backdrops and that Acorn roller coaster. What a great find TPW crew. Shame about the closed unfinished section. Fantastic vlog 😉👍

That Independence Day attraction is more likely based on the second film not the first. The second film we go to space to take the fight to the aliens.and that’s about it other than doing a rehash of the old movie.

I just came across this video and can't believe this theme park includes movies from Blue Sky and other movies besides the ones from the studio as well. I have been dreaming of a theme park that would have attractions from all the movies that were made, and I can't believe that it's truly real. But what really caught my eye is the Robots section.
Robots is my #1 favorite movie from the studio and my heart is still racing and still speechless that it's real. What would be better if there was more to do in that section, ex. more rides, maybe entertainment or meet and greets. Since, I wasn't expecting that section to be that small.
One day I want to save money and take a trip there. Just wish there was an attraction like there in the US.

As always great vlog you to. It’s so nice to explore and see you enjoying new parks. Every park you go to it always makes me think why can’t the uk make great well themed parks. 😢 hopefully one day. We really are behind compared to other country’s, yes 14 inversion roller coaster is great for the uk, but just wish we had proper theming. My personal view anyway. Keep up with the great vlogs you to.

What a great park. You can almost smell the fresh paint. So well themed. Fantastic combination of indoor and outdoor thrill rides. Plus nice to see Charlotte getting wet on a boat ride.😂 Thanks for showing us around.

What a great place , the themeing was fantastic , clearly alot of effort and work went into creating it. You do realise the next time you decide to go to australia your likely to feel the need to go back to sky world.....all in I was pleasantly surprised and didnt expect to see a Disney level park in Malaysia. Hey guys! Great Vlog. Another distraction to my day haha. It looks amazing, Im loving seeing all the parks. Alton towers and BPB are my " locals" so seeing some of these is amazing what a contrast to this opening show to those freaky doll things outside BPB lol!!

I'm from Malaysia but I now lived in Bristol, England. Visiting Genting Highlands brings me a lot of good memories.When the new SFX coaster opens, I will be sure to visit!
Don't know what's happened to sfx coaster since the manufacturer of the coaster which is dynamic attractions bankrupted

Another great park looks decent 👌
My main reservation with this place: it's up in the highlands in a rainforest, and yet from inside it looks like it could be absolutely anywhere. For all you can see of the outside it could be in central Kuala Lumpur, or on a field in Yorkshire. Frankly the Kuala Lumpur park looked more like a rainforest. Why build a theme park in a stunning location and then not make use of that?

We need to have a 20th Century Studios theme park in the USA.
Thanks for reviewing this park! As someone living in malaysia, this park is really big huge different in all other theme parks in malaysia, its impressive with all the high quality theming n ride. They really did a good job! quite disappointed when the original plan ( 20th fox world ) has to rebranding to the new one. Fyi, this park use a mobile apps to VQ ( virtual que ) i think u miss it on this vlogs. You can actually virtual que using the apps! Like in disneyland etc! Hope u will come back few years after when all the major attraction is ready! 😊

Great vlog, thanks a lot for showing us this great theme park! It seems to based on Blue Sky Studios productions (animation studio unfortunately dissolved in 2021), so this may be why we have a disney / universal vibe there
20th century fox movies IPs and blue sky studios animations, the rides vendor and theming ID mostly using the same who build and working with universal & disney thats why the experience is pretty impressive 😊

What an amazing looking park! I really liked the Independence Day and the Planet of the Apes rides. Also love anything Ice age :) I really wish that park was in Florida as I would go for sure! I was surprised when Charlotte did both those big spinning rides , brave giving them a go :) Wonderful POVs So glad you were able to film on them all :) Txs guys!

That was the original plan!
Definitely high on my list of places to visit, Malaysia also has the world's longest waterslide so I think that's enough to bring me over there... but I think I'm waiting for Mad Ramp Peak to open before I commit! Shame that the SFX coaster looks a bit tatty, I can't understand why they built the outside track first (they did that on Mission Ferrari but that's indoors, so isn't as exposed to the elements!). Anyway, great to see that the theming is so well done, looking forward to seeing the hotel tour!

I feel like the show scene on the drop tower really suffers from the removal of the Alien vs Predator IP because there was almost certainly meant to be animatronics down there but now it’s just boxes and audio effects. Meanwhile, the removal of the Sons of Anarchy IP from the motorbike attraction doesn’t seem to have effected it from what we’ve seen.
The whole area actually have been replace to the generic theme. Including sfx coaster. But in the future, sfx coaster will have an ip. Either games of movie franchise
I agree, the removal of animatronics from the basement really "town down" the ride experience. But I believe the long-term plan for this park is to introduce new IPs since they still advertise itself as a movie-based park. They just have to find something family-friendly as per Disney's requirements.

Epic.. so they built a brand new theme park and they do a dark ride for an animated movie from 2013 that nobody remembers? I saw it with my kid back then, but can't remember te story, haha. Maybe it's still popular in Asia.
The park set to open sometimes in 2016 they delay to 2018.....pandemic hit, then they finally it soft open last year! Don worry, natm has a new animated movie, soon kingdom planet of the apes will be release in 2024!
Looks fantastic! The thing that would put me off visiting Malaysia is the humidity and the fact it seems to be dark and cloudy all the time
It was very hot, just not up here!
The monsoon period in Malaysia is from September to January. There will be plenty of rains during this period. For those who doesn't like the wet season, they should avoid going to Malaysia from September to January. However, the dry season will be hot. Normal temperature is between 28 Celcius (morning and night) to 34 Celcius (10.00am to 6.00pm).

I think disney must has sprinkled some funding over this park, once they bought out fox, the finish on the theming and rides does have a disney quality and vibe to it. And dancing at the entrance has to be disney influenced. I am so green with envy! you guys are so lucky to be having the trip of a life time!
Should have a pact. If Shawn goes on a little flat ride Charlotte wants to go on, then... Charlotte should try a big flat ride that Shawn picks out, one you know looks extreme but wont make charlotte too sick, 😆.
Nope, fact that most of the rides are build with same vendor that working with universal studios and disneyparks 😊
Still think Disney would be reputation conscious, with being associated with the films that are on show. Via disney+ etc.
Malaysian here, I'm so sorry that Mad Ramp Peak and Bolt (the indoor powered coaster in Skytropolis) weren't open during your visit

Dynamic Attractions pitched Universal on the Mad Ramp Peak ride system for the Mario Kart Ride. Really wish they had gone with that instead of the slow moving AR ride that we got.

I think all of that high altitude air got to your head abit sean 🤣 you cannot compare this to Disney or universal. I think in many areas it looks cheap and run down! Defo a unique park though! LONG LIVE TPW!

Genting SkyWorlds is such a good theme park that it should be called 20th Century Fox park since it has rides based on movies! And by the way, nice hotel!
Its is formerly 20th century fox world, before disney bought the fox... then they need to change the name and branding of the theme park, some of the IP also cannot be use such as alien v predator n son of anarchy
Yes, the park was originally branded as "20th Century Fox World Malaysia" however after the acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney - Genting had to rebrand the park to now known as "Genting SkyWords" (GSW) ft Disney/Fox IPs.
Interestingly, GSW's still selling Fox IP-related merchandise with the previous 20th Century Fox World Malaysia park logo tagged to it.
