I'd seen a POV of Leviathan but I had no idea it had that awesome station, queue, entrance and zero car. What a great-looking ride. The voice acting for the leviathan itself is incredible, too; reminds me of Smaug from The Hobbit.

Sea World has removed all mention of the monorail from their website. This is after insisting repeatedly that it was merely down whilst Leviathan was under construction and would be refurbished. They have shut down and removed the chairlift/gondola and the Sea World railway, which was similar to Dreamworld’s. Many will be bitterly disappointed if the monorail is also removed. People need to send feedback on their visit imploring Sea World to spend some coin to restore this iconic ride.
As for Vortex, it’s been down more often than it has run since it opened a year or so ago. I don’t know if they simply bought a lemon but I suspect they run it out of spec - it always seems to be running way too low. It’s like a car - you can drive it in first all the time but doing so is going to cause you continual mechanical grief.

Thanks for sharing. Hopefully we’ll see them get the monorail back in action!

Firstly Charlotte’s tan is really coming on. Though a little burnt by the end of this video. Hopefully the after sun helps?
I use to love a wooden coaster and Leviathan didn’t seem to disappoint. It was great POV from the front row.
    Great views from Trident.
The jet ski’s were a very unique way to ride a coaster.
A water ride Charlotte enjoyed. I couldn’t believe my ears. 😂😂
    Very impressive food area.
I use to love the water skiing and Jet ski stunt show Seaworld Orlando use to have, so it was nice to see the Oz version.
Another impressively theme park with a great mixture of coasters and animals. A great end to your time on the Gold Coast.

The first full weekend of 2023 is a fact and we immediately decided to go because today we went going to Europa-Park. Together with my gf and some family members, we went to the German town of Rust to enjoy everything Europa-Park has to offer. In addition to the many attractions, we also enjoyed the beautiful Christmas decorations and of course the many lights, and sine you Shawn also did some parks, I thought of sharing you with my experience:
The park opened at 11 am, but we were already at the entrance at 10:30 am. We still had to exchange our voucher for tickets because with an Efteling subscription you can enter for free once. Something that we of course gratefully use. A little later we got in the park and we started our day in the German Allee.
It often happens that Europa-Park opens the Voletarium attraction earlier than the actual opening hours. That is also the case today and after a short waiting time, we boarded this flying theater. In the Voletarium you can fly over different countries in Europe. This way you fly over all kinds of famous sights such as the Eiffel Tower. There is also a short flight over the Netherlands, namely over a tulip field.
We went on the EP-Express next, a monorail and went to the back of the park. We got off in the Spanish area and went through the Märchenwald (Fairytale Forest) to ours first rollercoaster and that is Arthur. This roller coaster is actually more of a dark ride because most of it you pass along all kinds of scenes that come straight from the movie Arthur and the Minimoys. There are 2 passages that go a bit faster, but it's not really much. Still, it remains a nice combination of a dark ride and a roller coaster.
We continued in the park and in the app I saw that it is only a 5-minute wait for Pirates in Batavia. This dark ride burned down completely a few years ago, so everything was destroyed. Europa-Park then decided to completely rebuild the popular dark ride with the latest techniques. Unfortunately I was never able to do the old version, so I can't compare this new version with it. Fortunately, a ride on Piraten in Batavia 2.0 makes up for a lot because the dark ride is really beautiful! Something is happening everywhere and your eyes are really short. There are also some cool things to be found in this dark ride. You can find Roland Mack in this darkride. Roland Mack is the founder of Europa-Park. Also there is the boat with the survivors.
The next attraction we did is again a dark ride. In the Scandinavian area we find Snorri Touren. As the name suggests, this dark ride is all about Snorri, the mascot of Rulantica (the water park of Europa-Park). Just like with Pirates in Batavia, this dark ride is also beautifully finished and equipped with the latest technologies. We end up underwater with some mythical creatures. There is also a scene where you see and hear Snorri playing the drums. Just about the whole environment including some rocks sing along. Despite the fact that Snorri Touren is a very short dark ride, I think it is a nice attraction that you should definitely do during a visit to Europa-Park.
We leave the Scandinavian area behind and we head towards the Russian area. There we find the Spinning Coaster Euro Mir. I found this on previous visits to this park, the worst roller coaster in the park. Even today it more than lives up to that role and we are once again shaken in all directions. The highlight of this attraction remains the fun music in the queue.
Because Europa-Park has so many attractions, it may happen that some attractions do not have to wait at all. An example of this is Abenteuer Atlantis where I have never had to wait longer than 5 minutes. Also today we boarded directly and enjoy the interactive dark ride. The name says a lot, so we ended up in the underwater world of Atlantis. We shot fish and other sea creatures. Nice attraction with again a nice theme.
We had been in the park for a while now and we noticed that on our watch. It's already 12.45 pm, time to eat something. We did this in the Greek theme area between the houses that could come directly from the Greek island of Santorini. We also had a fantastic view of the water roller coaster Poseidon. We skipped this one today, because we didn't feel like getting wet.
At 2:10 pm we took a ride on Blue Fire. We have reserved our ride via the app, so we do not have to wait in the normal queue. Blue Fire is the only roller coaster in the park where you flip over. The ride starts with a reasonable launch but then the pace drops almost immediately due to the top hat that follows just after the launch. Fortunately, we still have that fantastic loop that you can race through in a smooth way. The roller coaster is a great combination of turns and inversions, making it clearly one of the better roller coasters in the park.
than we went to the Icelandic area, where we decided to take a ride on Wodan. This attraction is a wooden roller coaster built by GCI and is one of the better wooden roller coasters that I have been able to do. After waiting for half an hour, Wodan again does not disappoint. We are thrown in all directions and in no time we are back on the brakes.
Every time we came back to this fantastic park there is something new. Also today we had something new to discover because the Dschungel-Floßfahrt has changed name and theme. Dschungel-Floßfahrt was considered racist, so the park decided to close the attraction. The boat trip is now called Josefinas Kaiserliche Zauberreise and belongs to the Austrian themed area. The relaxing ride takes us to beautiful gardens and statues. There are graceful fences and there are many flowers. Although the attraction is not yet completely finished, I already think it is better than its predecessor. Europa-Park will provide the attraction with new boats this year, the rest of the expansion is currently on hold. So it remains to be seen what the park will decide in the future.
We left Austria behind us and we go to France. There we found some top attractions, which we definitely went on today. For example, we find here another dark ride around dinosaurs. What is special is that these prehistoric animals are cared for by an old lady, Madame Freudenreich. It should therefore come as no surprise that the attraction bears her name. Just like Snorri Touren, the darkride is on the short side, but it is beautifully finished.
Just like Blue Fire, we made an online reservation for Eurosat via the app. The free reservation system is very handy because we don't have to wait again. Unfortunately we only got a slot around 5 pm and it is still an hour. That's why we decided to try the roller coaster with VR. It costs us 6 euros per person, but it is a special experience. In retrospect, I found it mostly a nauseating experience.
Next to the gigantic sphere of Eurosat, you will find a gigantic roller coaster. I am of course talking about Silver Star. I really thought this B&M hyper coaster was a rattle last time. Fortunately, it was better today. The roller coaster will never really appeal to me, although the height and speed remain quite impressive.
Meanwhile it is already 5 pm and we made our ride on Eurosat. We were taken to the Moulin Rouge where the music in particular claims a leading role. It seems as if the indoor roller coaster moves to the tempo of the music. Along the way we come across a lot of references that link to Paris. This is how we encounter the Eiffel Tower. We also encounter the legs of a few dancers at the end of the ride.
It got dark and that means the lights are on. The French area is beautiful with all the lights and the Italian area is also beautiful. In Italy we find again 2 dark rides. The first is Piccolo Mondo and takes us to some romantic scenes where some famous places in Italy pass in review. The other darkride is Geisterschloss and that is a haunted house. We took a ride on both attractions.
This brings us back to the front of the park. There they had set up a cozy Christmas market and in the otherwise quiet garden, you can now enjoy some light objects. We ran into a lot of well-known fairy tales. Just think of the Bremen Town Musicians and Hansel & Gretel.
We took the EP-Express to Spain again. From this small area we are now moving to Portugal to try out an attraction that is only here in winter. That, of course, is the Ferris wheel. In the air we enjoyed all the lights in the park. For example, we saw Blue Fire that is completely lit up with a blue light. The towers of Euro-Mir also shine through the many lights. It should be clear that Europa-Park is not looking at a single euro when building their winter park.
We concluded in the Spanish hotel, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner in restaurant Don Quichotte. Europa-Park has once again proven why we still think this is the best park we have had the pleasure of visiting. Nowhere did we really have to wait long and the range of attractions remains great. Furthermore, I really recommend visiting Europa-Park during the winter. Almost the entire park is decorated with lights and Christmas decorations. There is an ice skating rink and a Christmas market. Even in winter, the park stands head and shoulders above the rest. Because nowhere have I visited a park that puts so much effort into their winter opening as here. Hopefully will have more theme parks to tell you all about!

Another nice & good vlog, really enjoyed and loved the good selection of rides, coasters and attractions. Shame monorail wasn't open, but yeah maybe next time in future? Get some nice & amazing beautiful views on that if visit back in future? Same to the ride similar to Rameses Revenge that used to be at Chessington WOA and other attractions that weren't open this time around involving log flume. Nice POV on Leviathan, wish we had something like this next at Chessington WOA, themed around Africa maybe or something different? Be epic lol. Sad couldn't film POV's on rides, attractions as love seeing POV's as gives us audience members an insight to what we can expect on the ride before experiencing especially with types of people like myself who are afraid of certain attractions & not at right level yet to experience going upside down. Hopefully one day be allowed to get POV's, but well see. Loved the stunt show, amazing tricks in there and stunts, would love to see something like that in the UK at maybe London Resort if happens? For summer time? Or other parks? But again well have to see? Say it alot, but Dreamland Margate needing new rides, attractions and coasters & think maybe Sea Rescue be a good ride concept for that park in Kent? As its near the sea? Could be themed around a British theme and have launch on its layout. Be a good ride suggestion in my opinion, but then again so will other rides & attractions around the rest of UK & World. But cheers for another good vlog & video. Really enjoyed and look forward to now watching Dreamworld Vlog. 😀👍

The statues are massive outside Leviathan! Love the POV :) I would never try a wooden coaster backwards, I find them rough enough forward lol. Love watching it tho . Great stunt show lmao at truck boat. Sponge Bob and Patrick my favs too cute :)

It doesn’t look like the monorail will be back unfortunately. The carriages have been taken to be destroyed :(
Before the water coaster went in there used to be a ride called “The Bermuda Triangle”. I remember riding it. It wasn’t bad back in the day.
There was also a coaster called the “Thrill seeker” which was my first ever coaster.

I wish Leviathan was here in the UK so we could all ride it. As much as I would like to go to Australia it’s not likely for me just yet. If Alton Towers, as good as Wicker Man is, got this as well OMG it would be incredible. Some good flat rides and smaller coasters here as well. I couldn’t help notice Charlotte is starting to burn under that hot sun☀️. Be careful guys😉

My favourite park in Australia. A great balance for the whole family. As much as I love thrill rides, something that sea world somewhat lacks. I’m a dad now and this is a great family park. With rides for all, and plenty to see.
Slight disagreement.. storm coaster opened in 2013 not 2008.
It is however one of my favourite coasters. Not scary or a thrill ride. But a really enjoyable ride with perfect level of theming inside

16:31 You see those super weird track to support connectors on that Intamin? Never seen that before. Little U clamps holding track down to support. And they don't like, beef up the track in that section. Did that have a sprinkler system for the track on Leviathan? Probably going to need it being dry and hot Australia. That's really awesome on the water coaster how you drop into a tunnel, pop up then go underground. That's different.

Oh another park where you can only film on a couple of rides, such a shame. I guess it's like this everywhere in Australia. 🙈 But another great vlog anyway. The star flyer looks amazing and the park looks like fun. 👍

It's not a huge park like Disney or Universal, but Buschgardens in Virginia (USA) is opening a new dark coaster that you sit on snowmobiles and go through a forest inside while some monster is supposed to be chasing you. I'm sure you all would love it. I can't wait to ride it this summer!

  • @seugoi7460

Leviathan really tears through the layout and the whole experience of the ride definitely makes it stand out. Backwards is just nuts and is so disorienting and the fast transitions can feel like u get hit by a truck if you aren’t ready for them. Sticks out in Australia’s lineup alongside dc rivals and scooby doo. That triple down after the first turn is just absurd.

  • @GazLfc

Its amazing you never get all rides open at the same time even in peak season. There’s only five. Even when they only had three it didn’t happen. Great theme parks here but Village Road show are penny pinching all the time. Off season half of everything even food outlets are closed.
