Utter embroidery beginner, just want to practice by doing a little design on a t-shirt collar. Some stabilizer recommended for the process. This video was VERY helpful!
Cutaway stabilizer is a great option for dense designs. There is a fantastic new product out that is designed to work with embroidery designs that have a lot of stitches and not pucker. You can learn more about it here www.qualitysewing.com/floriani-dream-weave-supreme-stabilizer.html
I do not use stabilizer when quilting in the hoop as recommended by Eileen Roche of Designs and Machine Embroidery (DIME). Works beautifully as the 3 layers of the quilt provide sufficient stabilization
Can you share more info on how to use stabilizer for machine embroidery? Do you need to also add interfacing - and in which order? Do you need to add water soluble stabilizer always with a sheet stabilizer? There’s so much info out there it’s overwhelming! I just want to actually get good embroidery on some flannel!
Here is another video all about stabilizers. If you have specific questions after watching give us a call 1-800-687-5175 and our team would be happy to answer your questions. th-cam.com/video/vm1DQx2gzZA/w-d-xo.html

We are glad this helped! Thanks for watching.
Thank you! Great explanation of some of the different stabilizers and how to use them.
You're welcome. Thank you for watching.
You never mentioned a Cutaway. Everything but the power mesh was a tear away. So many designs are over 10,000 stitches.
