I did consider getting a second one and noticed all the cheap ones on earth just happened to be in Gelderland and Flevoland...for some strange reason. Maybe a LOT were bought in the Netherlands, they are not so cheap here unfortunately.
Sorry to hear that. I just checked on Bricklink and it does seem like the average price went up a bit. I expect it to go up further as the supply is fixed but the demand can increase as people find out about these sets.

Its the track issue that annoys me trying to join the awful 12volt rails to the standard 9volt, the train keeps derailing and I am just tired of it.
Do you mean combining the track with the metal lines and the ones without?
