4,500 happy ticket buyers enjoyed the 58th Zurich Limmat Swim in perfect conditions. The ewz swimming animal Röbi accompanied the majority of participants.

The Limmat Swim was traditionally opened with the ewz Challenge. In the men's category, Marcel Schwarz won again after seven years with 24:26 minutes, and in the women's category, Saskia Kutz won for the first time with 24:32 minutes. She was the third fastest of all participants! Due to the weak current, the times were significantly longer than a year ago.
Given the weather forecast, the organizers were once again overwhelmed with advance ticket sales. In addition to happy faces, there were also many disappointed people. However, holding the event twice is not up for discussion, as the event is still run by a voluntary organization.
Apart from minor injuries, the event was accident-free. The two-kilometer route led from the women's pool on Stadthausquai to the river pool on Oberer Letten. Swiss Mountain Bags was present again, responsible for upcycling the swimming toys. The swimming toys are getting a new life. The unique items were sold like hot cakes and the best part, according to their CEO Eugène Fauquex, is that all proceeds will be donated by Swiss Mountain Bags to Swiss Mountain Aid.
The 59th Zurich Limmat Swim will take place on August 16, 2025
(replacement date August 23, 2025).
Choose the category with clothing transport (2,500 places) or with a swimming bag (2,000 places).
Buy a starting place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 5 p.m.
Arrive at Stadthausquai 45 minutes before the start on Saturday.
People with a numbered ticket (1 - 2,500) will receive a plastic bag for their clothes at the start. The bag must be securely closed and handed over to our ship's crew in the women's bathroom. We only transport personal effects that can be accommodated in this bag.
The categories marked ORANGE and VIOLET are intended exclusively for people who take their clothes with them in the waterproof swimming bag.
