I used to think Lostprophets were a lame emo band but I'm really starting to enjoy them, their songs are always catchy and they are a pretty cool rock band, I'd only really wanna see them at a place like Reading Festival, with amazing weather and a beer in hand, just sing along if I know the words, not the type of band I'd probably at at any other occaision.
Noone can get the crowd going like lostprophets can! They're so awesome!
Saw them at Reading 2010, incredible when the entire audience screams their hearts out right back :)
he was obviously a very ill man. No-one in their right mind would throw everything away. always feel guilty listening to them still but the music is too good!
I know I'm replying to a rather old comment in which your perspective might have changed, but Ian Watkins wasn't ill, unless he brought it on himself, which doesn't excuse his actions one bit. He grew up with way too much confidence to the point of thinking he could do no wrong, and exacerbated this with his heavy drug abuse. And when he got so used to having his way with any woman he wanted, he got bored with it and wanted to push it in more depraved directions thinking (again) that he could do whatever he wanted, genuinely thinking that paedophilia and zoophilia was acceptable. He wasn't ill - he just didn't have a proper moral compass.
Still, you shouldn't feel guilty for listening to his work. His music isn't what he did to those victims, and investing in it doesn't mean you're forgetting or excusing what he did. Plus, he wasn't the only member of Lostprophets, you know.
Believe me matey, he wasn't ill? He was very sane. He knew what he was doing? If you only knew what he did exactly then you wouldn't want to listen to his evil voice ever again? He raped a 10 month old baby boy? He got 2 young mothers who were obsessed with him and these mothers gave their children to him to rape? He peed in young girls mouths and one of the girls were only 10 yrs old? He has raped so many children and virgins? He is a disgusting, evil and vile monster? A monster of all monsters 👹. You should look up the court documents? I am so sure that you will change your mind about him? It wasn't anyone else in the band? Only him....

You shouldn’t feel guilty. If you like Lostprophets and their work still and want to keep enjoying it, you can. It’s not like you’re rubbing any of it in a sexual abuse victim’s face or that of the remaining band members, or supporting Ian Watkins’ crimes.

Shame first for all the little kids affected by him. I hope they find some way of getting past what happened to them. Even though legally the parents were 'complicit', the parents of all those kids now won't ever have a life and I'm sure they weren't completely happy with what happened. Then finally it's a shame for his band mates.

A Brilliant frontman but with a very limited vocal ability,really confident and good looking guy too,he commanded any audience but he could never hit the notes he hit in the studio. I have watched maybe 50 versions of this amazing Anthem (probably the best Rock song written in British music History and deserves an Ivor Novello award and then some) and it's such a tragedy that he could never replicate this song live. I am still searching for the video where he nails Rooftops,l just haven't found it yet but l came close (American tour 2009) He is 85% there but no Cigar. He just has a real problem with the opening verse and always refuses to sing past the first line live,it's infuriating.
He also unfortunately went to prison for raping toddlers. ;( I’m sure you know this and I understand you are only talking on the pure musical side of things. But like I don’t get it?? I’ve got a psych degree & over 7 years working in mental health/social services and I still just don’t get how someone so good looking with everything going for him could easily throw it away. And I don’t believe it was the drugs. Him using the drugs just made him brave enough to live out his sick twisted fantasies. fucking disgusting what he did. I do hope he does change tho.

What a shame. They were such a good band. Ian was a good singer. They were really getting up there with their music. But one man screwed it all up for the rest of the members. I feel bad for them and I hope they’re doing good these days. But Ian can rot in prison.
