Yeah, but it's bullshit that lostprophets music was banned on all platformsl. Their new band is nowhere near as well known. The band shouldn't have had any stigma from what the singer did. That is the kind of shit that happens in communist countries.
Lee and Stu are still kicking in No Devotion with Geoff Ricky of Thursday. Stu also acts as the touring bassist of Thursday. Luke Johnson is the drummer of a newer group called Lowlives, which absolutely ROCKS!!!
It hurts, it still hurts...so many memories tied to these songs, all of them ruined. So hard to separate the art from the artist, but I still love them and their music, and I think I always will.
Leigh Peterson Okay, but the rest of the band doesn’t deserve hate. People say “I hate Lostprophets, they’re sick!” When people SHOULD be saying “I hate IAN, he’s sick!” He ruined their careers.
Damn shame. They were such a good band. They were good when playing live. Sounded pretty damn close to the studio version. I still listen from time to time. But a small part of me feels bad for it. But then again, it wasn’t just the sicko who made the song. This song wouldn’t exist without the other members of the band. Sicko can rot in prison. I hope the other members moved on and became awesome gentlemen.
So sad for the rest of the band. They knew the accusations, but if it was your best friend you wouldn't really believe it until it was proven in court. Plus the way record labels work, you have to keep going, going, going, going when the wheels are turning or you can lose everything.
SCREEEEEAAMM YOURR HEART!!! Honestly, I don't like Emo music. But I love this song from this band so much since the first time I heard it on 2006. I'm really really sorry for what happen with this band. I hope they will be fine.
Don’t be ashamed, people have sides, and seemingly the side of Ian that made a lot of his music was just unfortunately better than who he became as a person. It’s hard to accept someone capable of such beauty was in secret becoming ever so dark. Ian didn’t live up to his music, he fell so short and pulled so many of us down by way the of his sins. Especially those of us who resonated the beauty of his music. That means there’s a line between the beautiful and ugly sides of life, and it’s important to steer others towards their beauty and denounce the evil that lies in the heart of many of everyone in some shape, way, or form. Ian likely can’t be saved but there are others who still have a chance to live in the beauty they can offer back out to the world, and push back against if not entirely rid themselves of such an evil as what he gave into. Let his positives speak to you positively while denouncing his sins simultaneously. You are capable of such as the objective outside observer of doing so, and you can sift through the mess and make sense of it all and overcome the dark feeling his personal choices have placed over you and so many others. Be better than him and if you celebrate the slightly good parts of him that once was, then so be it. But be beautiful as we were all meant to be.
Luke Johnson posts the old songs on his ig and in pretty sure Lee's kids listen to old LP songs and are "massive fans" so if the band can move on and appreciate their old work then so should others :)
I got this recommend to me on Spotify last month and I've been re-listening to all these amazing songs they've done. I'm finding it extremely hard to believe that one of my favourite bands growing up had a sick fuck in it. I'm confused listening to it now and just can't explain the deeply sad feelings I have. On one hand their music is pure epic and brings back amazing memories of my youth, and then sometimes I switch it off because of what that wankshaft did. Why does everything you grow up with have to get tainted? I almost wish the news didn't exist sometimes. Michael Jackson was one of my idles growing up too but how can you not listen to that guys music? :(
