When I flew by Finnish airlines, I heard the stewardesses talking, and I was like: “I should understand this, but I can’t. What is wrong with me?” I thought it was gibberish Hungarian.

in Slovak látok is genitive plural of látka, nom. plural látky ... so "látok veľa látok" would be (mixed with hungarian) "i see a lot of cloths" :D ...
someone told me Hungarian is a very logical language ... idk, i dont know it so much, but i hope so :D ... some gramatical phenomena dont look much regular, but i think it depends on consonants, so there are atleast 2 varaints ... i think látok should be látom (like tudom, értem), but m doesnt fit there obviously, maybe because of t and (dark) o ... and previous á ... and L is also not much marked sound as well as m ... they are not sudden like p, t, k, they can be long (Slovaks have long L, r :D significantly in words dĺžeň, dĺžka, stĺp, i think :D (length sign (up on the L :D ), length, pillar - is long, too :D )) ... értem, there are two (your vocal harmony, i like it, too :D ) E and R is quite sudden ... so m doesnt matter ...
but we dont have long consonants (much), like szeress! (like 2nd person sg (you) of our word "to sh*t" :D ser is imperativ sg, and a cheese in Polish :D it often stinks, too :D )
i think Slovaks have vocal harmony more like you, but not so much ... it is often the main difference between them and Czech :D ... blátem - blatom, but it is not always harmony, they just have more often o where we have e, so we are more like Germans, English ... in the east there is more o ... more closed? Germans have a lot of e, but it is closed e, like your é or our í ... our vocals are more variable then yours (or German), they are not so determined (like short - open, long - closed), in eastern (Moravia) they are rather always tight ... and in Prague and west rather always open, i dont like it much, but i dont want to speak "tighten" :D ... in the west "i" sometime sounds like ü ... thought we dont have this vocal and there is no difference between pronouncing i and y like in german (and other Germanic languages? - northern), russian (east slavs), finnish, french, polish, hungarian (i/ü) ... so we probably pronounce like south slavs but have and have to distinguish both i/y, maybe the biggest czech problem with spelling :D and then prefix s/z i think :D slovaks and polish have it often differently than us :D and it is differently written and pronounced ... or you cant recognize it just from hearing ... often s- is down(load :D - stáhnout), together (sbalit [zb] - pack things together into a luggage), z- is often a change (zbít = to beat someone) ... but not always i know - zkusit (try; like to bite (more times, continuously)) [sk], similar is zakusit (get experience), zakousnout (animal bites other animal to death) ... kus - a piece, a bit(e) ... zákon (a law ... maybe when it applies (changes others) constantly, it begins with z-?), zakročit (intervention; krok = a step), zaplatit (to pay ... behind is actually "za" ... it is a change ...) splatit (pay the debt - pay "down" :D ) ... zbavit se něčeho - get rid of something ... probably change, not "get it down" ...
