    What a lovely little video. I have just had my early morning cold bath ..and I am looking forward to the sauna at my gym opening in another hour.

    Thank you for the video! When you said “tiny, tiny sauna” I expected a phone booth sauna or smaller but I have to say it is quite comfy and spacious, I am sure you can get good saunas in there. Keep up the great content!

      We have moved since and our current sauna is 3x this tiny sauna. I love to lay down and stretch my legs after spending time outdoors.

    Heli please consider making a new video about the sauna in the place where you are now. This is the most viewed video on your channel! I am considering installing a tiny but proper Finnish style sauna in my home here in England and it's really useful to see actual home saunas in Finland for inspiration. Kiiiiiiiiitos!

      @@BobSmith-s7j You are right, I should do it. Although our current washroom is a bit chaotic since in the middle of the shower room there is a bath place for a poodle 🫣

      Welcome to Finland to test some saunas so you know which one you’ll choose.

      Thanks! We have moved to another house since making this video. Now I can easily lay down on the sauna bench since the new sauna is maybe three times bigger than this old one. I love using it especially on cold rainy days.

      Hej på dej! We have actually moved to a new house that has a bigger sauna. Should I make another video of it? It is just that for me sauna is part of every day life so it is a bit hard to think of what to say about it 🤔Any ideas / questions?

      Yes, definitely do it. And go into more details, how it works, cost, making a video while you are in it and using it, and such.
      By the way, how much did this one cost? Also how it functions, how it heats up, it's electric and you can throw water on the heated plate or something, and what about vapor - how it gets rid of it?
      How quickly it heats up, too?
      Thank you in advance!

    great! I wanted to see the room where the sauna is, how you did the floor planning and where is space for your shower

      Thanks for this comment! Unfortunately we have moved to another house already, but maybe I can show the sauna room we have now! So looks like I have to make another video of saunas.
      Sauna is always placed next to shower room and floor is a tile floor with a sewer. So one sewer near the showers, another one inside the sauna.

      @@helifromfinland Nice, thank you! Yes indeed a calm floor plan video with these things would be great!

    Is there a drain in the sauna? Jealous!!!

    How often do you use your sauna?

    • @helifromfinland
      @helifromfinland  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, I have been away from this channel and didn’t notice your comment before. I use sauna at home maybe once a week and visit public saunas 1-2 times a month.

  • @MaximC
    @MaximC 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Also, how much did this sauna cost you? And was the heater included? And how much does it take for it to heat up? And how many kW the heater has?
    Thank you in advance.

    • @helifromfinland
      @helifromfinland  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sauna is included in flat prices (almost all houses in Finland have saunas), so I don’t know how much it costs. Awerage sauna stove is a 6 kW and uses about 4,4 kwh during first hour when sauna is heated and less after that.

      Thanks. Anyway since then I built my own sauna, an infrared sauna (1140 Watts an hour). It does the job quite well, too, I sweat a lot in it.

      Finland is very clever to have a sauna in every home.

      @@MaximC It sure feels odd times when I've lived abroad without sauna. One feels so much more clean after sweating and then taking a cool shower!

      But then again, the electricity for a traditional sauna, if it's done regularly - would be quite high... I went with an infrared sauna because it consumes way less energy, it seems, than the traditional wet room sauna.
      How regularly and for how much time you guys use your home saunas in Finland? Like everyday, half an hour a day, or less, or more?
