I worked with Damone in the Canine Program and I gotta say, he was a man of character and work ethic that made those he served with appreciate and respect really fast. If it wasnt for him and out Trainer, along with two others, there may not be a Canine Program or term MPC. They were the proof of concept for SOCOM at the time. Nobody else was using dogs the way were by MTOE. After that one deployment, all groups slowly came on line and the other elements as well and we built the SOFMPC Program that is today. It could of went south without the right people in place and Damone was one of those men. He and Argus were a great team. Glad this podcast came across my feed, good to see humble giants like this carbing their own paths in life and succeeding!
With a channel that has brought so many Wonderful guests and episodes this has been the most enjoyable episode for me to watch/listen to. This man has made a life of service. God bless him and the people he continues to help.
I'm black and can swim fine. I always laughed at this stereotype. It's kind of like saying "white men can't jump". There's definitely black people who can't swim at all and white guys with zero hops but there are also tons of examples of the opposite that at point both are like myths passed down to people that they believe.
Me too and I am getting tired of it, especially because some undercover racists are using biology to explain why black people "can"t swim. Something about bone density, which has to be the most asinine thing I have ever heard or read
WOW. Great talk gents. I'm hoping to take swim lessons during the Q course. If they send me to a dive team I can focus on learning instead of fear.. Blessings brothers! Can't wait to read the book!
Start your lessons NOW. Swimming is ALL about getting comfortable in the water, which comes with TIME. The other key is the refinement of your technique which also only comes with practice time.
An ongoing issue with black people swimming is kids going to the pool and it become a matter of the police being called. This sort of friction also relates to other activities, like banking, where there is additional friction and risk of unnecessary contact with law enforcement.

white people can't dance - think that's a universal fact

@@mrs8171 Thanks a million! I’ll get on it! I can swim but you’re right. COMFORT is the key!
Doing the sponsors in the middle really screws up the rhythm
1 minute in and NY Gov Hochul statement that Black people don't know how to use computers enters the chat. Obviously I'm joking😂

👍
There may be environmental factors but it’s also the case that blacks are, on average, less buoyant due to natural differences in body habitus.
And voila, here it is the nonsense I was writing about 1 minute ago
the DEI commando😂😂
I'm going to take that as a really inappropriate and none funny joke.
