Whenever I watch Rukminiji's dance the first emotion comes to my mind is bhakti! The way she expresses herself is so much into the character that she performs... It's not only this performance by her but every time she does....
You are amazing at what you do. One becomes silent while watching you because your grace absorbs all the noise and radiates deep emotions. 💜💜
Classical dancers have helped make a huge contribution in keeping our ethic clothes alive and vibrant. What colours! Indian saris or drapes add grace, beauty and elegance to anyone who dons them. It breathes femininity and sensuality without being slutty. We Indian women are very lucky to have such beautiful clothing styles handed down to us by our ancestors. It is our duty to preserve and promote these clothing techniques. I would also encourage Indian men to wear and be proud of their local clothes. Even if you can't wear at work, wear occasionally when you go for casual walks with your family. It will give a big boost to our handloom industry. Instead of surviving, it will start thriving. Also Indian clothes are made for Indian climates, so it is a healthier option to wear especially in scorching heat.

This generation wears only jeans and T shirts. In metros young ladies are wearing micro mini dresses. Slowly salawar is coming down. I feel very comfortable with white dhoti only. I like white towel instead of Turkey or Bombay Dying Towel. Yes, wearing traditional clothes helps our growers weavers designers drapers cottage industries; traditional dresses create the least pollution too. It would be a respect to our ancestors and seniors. Unfortunately in the name of comfort and "looking English" everyone wears pants or mini clothes. For ladies saree is more graceful elegant sober than any other. Indian ladies feel that "they look old in sarees." It is not so. They look mature respectful and at times tall. Yes, unshapely bodies and "no time" have compelled many to play short cuts and give a go by to traditions.

Couldn't stop my tears from falling. At some point in time, I was almost on the verge of becoming an atheist. However, life took its own course and I landed on the other side of the turbulent waters. And I started to get more and more drawn towards Sanatana Dharma. Wanted to acquire jnana. Still do. I always thought that "Bhakti" is not my cup of tea coz I was more drawn towards jnana. I considered myself absolutely incapable of experiencing/generating any "bhakti bhava". But trust me your dance and choice of the selection of music generated the "bhakti bhava" in me that I was somewhere deep down inside looking for. Thank you mam. I have no words. You made me realize that even I'm capable of experiencing that ecstacy which is generated merely by the name of Sri Hari. Now, I even cry just by hearing the mere name of the divine. Koti koti Pranaam. 🙏🙏
