Number 1 play is truely incredible on all aspects, with Keria's ult to cancel Knight's tp... But the most important thing on Faker's engage on Sylas in game 4 was overlooked imo. Faker didn't start his move from the jungle, he started it from BOT LANE where he was sidelaning vs Bin. He quickly saw an opportunity, took the jumping plant to go across the whole jungle as it is a Chemtech map, and instantly initiated the move. The level of coordination of the entire team on this play and having the balls to make such an insane play as Faker in game 4 makes it AT LEAST the second best play of the finals imo!
I think it was the best, that was the turning point and they didn't slow down after that. But there is always mega bias towards the game 5 game winning play being the number 1 play. But it's whatever great plays all around, a pleasure to watch live, amazing stuff.
Finally an actual highlight reel on Keria's play. Saw people discrediting that play saying, "anyone can use Poppy ult when they see someone tp-ing". LOL. The real play is when he stayed mid to go check Ahri knowing he would TP instead of just rushing to help top. He waited for it to happen so he can cancel it immediately. All three of them, Faker, Zeus and Keria deserve their praises on that final play.
Or it was Knight actually chocking, TPing in front of a Poppy while aware of her location. Like the entire BLG, aside from Bin, was chocking all game long.

The GOAT got 3 out of 5 highlights, and the last one he's probably one of the most important factor. This is truly how Faker carried in his prime period
but it's not be the best play. And Knights is main damage. So stop him or slow him downs is just the normal in the team fight. Check the mic check, Keria knows there's team fight on the top. So it is very overrated. If there's no moment of Sylas in game 4, all ends. And this is also hard to set up the play like that. this is not worth the number 1

So many clutch plays barely noticeable in the chaos, the entire roster is so cracked. 0:12 Oner using Faker's distraction to catch Knight and force his flash + out of position. 1:35 Keria turning around to help Faker punish the TP and barely save him with shield + Mikael. 3:05 Guma perfect flash to dodge Ahri's Q and E, while Oner chunks J4 and solo kills Rell. Zeus also had a huge impact game 2 on Ornn, and traded kills when they dove him 3v1.
As many other pros and streamers have said, Guma was actually out of position there + shouldn’t have used flash. He should have instead cleansed the charm and saved the flash which would have been critical moments later with Bin’s flank from behind. Not saying I could have done better but that is just objectively the play. I won’t complain though because that allowed for the circumstances to line up for Faker’s 3v4 turnaround highlight.

Agreed, I think you and I know how to watch League of Legends properly. That play was what completly changed the momentum of the series. It's also the flashiest and most spectacular play in the tournament I think.

One thing about this world was that team fights were absolutely cinema no wonder this highlight plays was hard to do, and no wonder there was no penta this year.
I think people have acknowledged that Faker is still near the top last year's Worlds(with doubts during summer season), but this series should cement that the GOAT is still at the peak.
Faker really deserved the MVP but I'm glad that people will now actually see what Keria did and will get the recognition he deserves. That play of his for me gave 'em the trophy.

It also got to the point that people were using that play to the point that they are actively trying to diminish Faker's final performance and saying he wasn't the final's mvp.
I think people say it was unnoticed because on first watch, most people missed it. The casters as well - no one mentioned knight's tp being stopped by the poppy. So yes, its great they give Keria credit here because if knight turns up to this fight Galio would die.

The desperation of Faker making plays on game 4 was insane. He kept check on Jng camps and Bin before he engaged the Rakan Ult skill. That play was incredibly beautiful. The third deserved the 1st place!
If I have to choose a favorite #2 and #3 are my picks *came back to this video just to say again how amazing #3 was because, omg, BLG in game 4 had smolder, ziggs, sejuani, gnar and rakan. They were really intent on locking down that match point but Faker said, no. And did every risky move, that only Faker can do.

For me i think that last fight, faker snipe kill on the enemy carry is the most clutch thing during that moment, without that carry im quite sure they can wipe the BLG team even if the ahri TP

I think that Keria ult at end was great, not really discrediting Keria, any pro player would have done that many still think keria should have been the Finals MVP, Faker should still be the Finals MVP, game 4 he's playing at the very limit The end at game 5 is not possible because of Keria ult at Ahri but also, Faker killing Elk as fast as possible this made both Faker and Zeus tank longer and Faker lives at the end made it possible for the game to end immediately It is a teamwork, Keria gets the recognition, but no doubt Faker is the MVP if you want to argue, bring Keria game 1 in the conversation
The final fight was such a great team clutch play. Zeus was the the one called faker, and faker blindingly trusted him. Oner and guma trusted them too and rush to a in the paper, a losing fight. And keria tp cancel was the play that cemented a team effort and confidence in each other. For a 1 v 4 against zeus, to a losing series, and blg played really good, but t1 was better.

Faker's game 4 Sylas engage is definitely #1. It takes game knowledge to make sure to cancel enemy TP on a crossmap play. It was game changing, but it is not a rare play to see, and not difficult to execute as well because Ahri was on vision. It takes Faker level of game knowledge and skills to understand that this Sylas engage was the clutch play to save game 4, and to execute it perfectly. When Faker engages, Ziggs and Smolder flashes are still down for 20-30 seconds. Waiting for their flash to come up would have been game over and this play would not be possible with their flashes up. Ziggs used his W escape previously to execute the tower, making him weak in this 16 seconds timeframe. Faker then proceeds to brain ON and to dodge Sejuani ult, and the rest of T1 followed brillantly. The (5) stars literally aligned on this single risky play, and I believe Faker is the only player who could 1) have seen the angle 2) have the balls to call it (right after a failed Ashe ult) and 3) execute it perfectly. Credits needs to be given to Keria because his play happened offscreen and was game defining, but the highest level of play in the highest pressure game situation was definitely made by the goat Faker.

마지막 케리아가 숨은 결정타긴 한데 오디오들어 보니까 페이커가 아리의 TP 견제까지 계산 하고 한것 같더라. 첨에 제우스 걍 죽게 내비두지 왜 페이커 던지나 했는데 엘크 죽이고 팀원들 커버올때까지 시간 벌어주고 심지어 살아남는거 보고 역시 페이커는 페이커다 했다. 무엇 보다 팀원들 합이 정말 잘 맞았고 한사람만 삐끗 했음 진짜 클날뻔했던 순간이라 보는 내가 심장 떨리더라.

It also got to the point that people were using that play to the point that they are actively trying to diminish Faker's final performance and saying he wasn't the final's mvp.
I think people say it was unnoticed because on first watch, most people missed it. The casters as well - no one mentioned knight's tp being stopped by the poppy. So yes, its great they give Keria credit here because if knight turns up to this fight Galio would die.

Ahri is a main damage of BLG. So it is easy to understand that Keira needs to takes care of him. Still no idea why this is a the best play.
No way ahri can turn that fight and clutch the whole T1. Guma and oner is still alive and if they know its bad they will back off. The game is done before that

Keria was aware of the ongoing fight at top, and while dealing with vision on mid~jungle, decided to wait for an opportunity to stop Knight's tp. He made a well decided choice based on the info he had, got the correct play that ensured BLG's carry would be missing from the game-defining fight

For me i think that last fight, faker snipe kill on the enemy carry is the most clutch thing during that moment, without that carry im quite sure they can wipe the BLG team even if the ahri TP
They could've, but they also might not have ended the game at that time. Keria canceling the tp won them the teamfight without losing Faker, and the game at the same time.
I think that Keria ult at end was great, not really discrediting Keria, any pro player would have done that
many still think keria should have been the Finals MVP,
Faker should still be the Finals MVP, game 4 he's playing at the very limit
The end at game 5 is not possible because of Keria ult at Ahri
but also, Faker killing Elk as fast as possible this made both Faker and Zeus tank longer
and Faker lives at the end made it possible for the game to end immediately
It is a teamwork, Keria gets the recognition, but no doubt Faker is the MVP

The final fight was such a great team clutch play.
Zeus was the the one called faker, and faker blindingly trusted him. Oner and guma trusted them too and rush to a in the paper, a losing fight.
And keria tp cancel was the play that cemented a team effort and confidence in each other.
For a 1 v 4 against zeus, to a losing series, and blg played really good, but t1 was better.

근데 마지막 씬, 케리아의 아리 컷... 보고 바로 납득해버렸다...
Faker's game 4 Sylas engage is definitely #1.
It takes game knowledge to make sure to cancel enemy TP on a crossmap play. It was game changing, but it is not a rare play to see, and not difficult to execute as well because Ahri was on vision. It takes Faker level of game knowledge and skills to understand that this Sylas engage was the clutch play to save game 4, and to execute it perfectly.
When Faker engages, Ziggs and Smolder flashes are still down for 20-30 seconds. Waiting for their flash to come up would have been game over and this play would not be possible with their flashes up. Ziggs used his W escape previously to execute the tower, making him weak in this 16 seconds timeframe. Faker then proceeds to brain ON and to dodge Sejuani ult, and the rest of T1 followed brillantly. The (5) stars literally aligned on this single risky play, and I believe Faker is the only player who could 1) have seen the angle 2) have the balls to call it (right after a failed Ashe ult) and 3) execute it perfectly.
Credits needs to be given to Keria because his play happened offscreen and was game defining, but the highest level of play in the highest pressure game situation was definitely made by the goat Faker.
