I love the thumbnail. The name of the puzzle came from the fact that the grid reminded me of a fountain that existed in Darling Harbour in Sydney until it was destroyed only a few months ago, after being there for nearly 30 years. This is very fitting though.
I figured as much when I looked up 'darling Fountain' afterwards. 😀 It was too late by then. It's the fountain with a spiral or maybe representation of an eddy in it? That's very fitting for how the puzzle is solved!

It was a bit of both, the spiral pattern of both the grid and the solve.
