In this episode we head back to Fort Myers to check in on our boat build. We are still waiting for the deck and liner to be completed so we took a look at what else was going on in the shop including a new boat that came out of the mold as well as a deck/liner going into another boat.

In 1928 the Harley boys asked their Aunt to pick a color for them, an that "Orange" is what she came up with. So you could say that a 1928 Harley Orange, haha!

Mike, Your boat is really moving along. Gonna be sweet when it get's finished. That "other"boat, We'll be heading to LTB when that boat gets further along to set them up with a cool LED lighting package.

That sargassum orange and the whisper gray deck/liner would look sweet!!!!! I have always been a fan of black with grey deck/liner but that orange is quickly changing my mind....
I think a black motor, black piping, etc will look great.

The Big Question for me is how do they design the boat hull an liner an get it from drawing board to that mold has spaying on to? An designing the boat "Trapeze" looked really fun! They build rotating tube within a tube just like I did on my solar panels!
As a former Search And Rescue crewman, I can appreciate SAR-Gasm hahaha, Could spot that hull from miles out no problem!

Chose a motor that has the least issues and the easiest to get parts and repairs (if/when needed) I'm not a Boat Motor brand loyal kinda guy (I own a 48spl and a 75hp Johnson's, a 135 Yamaha, a 150 Merc, and a 150 Mariner,) but I am a parts/repair availability kinda guy, if it was up to me between a Merc and a Suzuki, I gotta go with the Mercury you can't go wrong with a Merc,,,
Boats coming along, can't wait to see it on the water,

I got a good Suzuki dealer relatively close to the house. That is certainly a weighing decision as I won't have a trailer.
@@ReelReports it always helps if they are close or known, I'm in the middle of nowhere so we work on our own stuff, I guess it helps that I went to collage for Marine mechanics back in the mid 80's that helps,,, lol
Both Great motors but I'm leaning toward the Dual Prop Suzuki
Can't go wrong with either. I think you will love the added stern lift from the Zuk.

Pitch wells are going to come in handy for sure. Especially for the inshore fishing.
What material is the core of the deck?

I would definitely go with a Suzuki I have one never had an issue with it... as far as that Autumn orange hell no...
I'm surely interested in the new tech from Suzuki.
