    What separates you from many other popular TH-cam aquascapers is that your wonderfully succinct and detailed explanations are perfect!! You don’t keep the camera on you talking, you keep it on the aquariums. You don’t use gimmicks, false charm, humor or lecture-style methods. Your editing is masterful and you don’t waste time. You are a favorite! Thank you for this video. It’s truly the best of its kind. Cheers!

Do you have to wait a certain amount of time before adding fish, I noticed you said you added them a few weeks later. Was that intentional or could you add them sooner? Also, how different would maintenance be with a typical rear hanging filter be? Do you have to run CO2 with that build?

    Hey there MJ. I can safely say that at this point I consider you my aquascaping mentor. I learned a lot from you and like to apply all I learn from you because you always say things in a very easy to digest way and appliable way. You also use the same brands of tanks, ferts, lights I use, so it's easy for me to relate to your setups. A question I have: What do I do with new plantsthat just won't establish... I get them to melt in the first 4 days/1 week of adding them in an already established setup, specifically althernantera. It's literally the 5th time I try to add this plant in my 70L tank, everytime doing something different (different position, closer to the light, more space, etc) and still no luck. Is it just impossible to add certain plants after the tank gets established? If so, I would love it if you can make a video about it. The only time I managed to grow althernanthera mini is when I first set up the 35L, at the very beginning when nothing was established.

    • @MJAquascaping
      @MJAquascaping  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Adrian! Strange that you are struggling with Alternanthera, it's not really a difficult plant. And adding them into an established setup should actually make it easier. Are you sure it's melting and not being eaten? I know Amano shrimp love to eat Alternanthera

    • @adrianradu2332
      @adrianradu2332 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MJAquascaping Hey there! Pretty sure it's not being eaten because the stems themselves just rot at the base after 3-5 days, along with leaves near the base, after I plant them in my soil. The signs don't look like there's been "munching" going on, but I do have amano shrimp. Althoguh in such a short time, I should have definitely seen them do it if that was the case. I get pretty much the same behaviour with Alth. Rosanervig and with the mini one from In-vitro. They do actually grow new leaves out the top, so maybe it's just a case of let the plant die so it can be reborn in the new setup, but man is it heartbreaking to just see that whole beautiful red plant melt completely and I don't really have the patience for them to just die off like that xD. I am familiar with plants melting when getting established, but not to this extent!

    • @detlefh.7090
      @detlefh.7090 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@adrianradu2332 Hi Adrian, I just read about your melting problem, sorry to hear. Your plants seem to uncouple stem from roots. Something seems to be wrong with your soil and I really would like to know what's going on. Do you use substrate heating? Did you add additional fertilizer to your soil? May be your soil is clogged and doesn't hold enough oxygen for the roots/the substrate bacteria to strive? May be the soil became too acidic vs. the water column? Let me know if you have overcome the problem...

    Wat is voordeel of nadeel van een Inline Diffuser.

    • @MJAquascaping
      @MJAquascaping  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Voordeel is dat je nog minder techniek zichtbaar hebt in je bak. Nadeel is dat je wel weer een extra koppeling in je filter slang hebt wat evt zou kunnen lekken

    Doe jij ook wel eens een aquascape met bijvoorbeeld filterzand en corydoras? Wil naast garnalen graag corydoras in mijn toekomstige aquarium en kan wel advies gebruiken.

    Hello! I’ve got a question: do high tech nano tanks require air stones or anything like that? I didn’t see you mention it in your video. Thanks! (Great tutorial btw)

      you don’t need air stones no. Just co2 injection if you’re going with a high tech setup :)

    I am setting up another tank at home...a similar size tank....so this is really helpful. The hardscape I want to create is a cave in one back corner with outcrops of the same rock type around it. But I am putting some sanded coloured glass pieces on the interior of the cave to make it look like a crystal cave.

    What was the CO2 speed for this 60P tank? And what was the light duration?

    • @MJAquascaping
      @MJAquascaping  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      CO2 is at 2bps and the light is on for 8 hours at 75%

      @@MJAquascaping What should be light duration of my 3 feet wide 200 ltrs planted tank? And what should be bubbles per second speed of my CO2?

    I thought of an experiment idea. Could you compare foods that are supposed to enhance the colors of fish?
