One tip is put a few dots of hot glue on one side center once you have centered. Then let it dry then you can flip it and staple the rest of the side. Just so you have it secure! Looks great!!

@@mackenzieelizabeth7897 hi! Sorry for the late reply. I ended up using a removable vinyl on a canvas where I modpodge a Christmas paper bag decor. I just painted it black. But I did use an iron in one of my project using a burlap and it worked. You just have to keep checking if the vinyl is sticking on. I hope I make sense ☺️
I've been floating the idea for a reverse canvas for a while now. With lockdown I figured that this is the perfect time. Your video was the best, easy to follow, and your cadence is excellent. Hi Mr. Crafty Pants! I found your channel through hearing about it by Ken’s Kreations! I have multiple sclerosis so using the cricut has been a life saver for me since my hands have tremors. I love crafting and using it as a stress relief. I am looking forward to making the awesome cards with the joy by using the card mat! Hello, I tried my FIRST htv vinyl on painted wood today and it didn't turn out too well. In fact, I ended up removing all the vinyl in the end and will sand the wood down and try again. I used Apple barrel paints (like you) and I let it dry OVERNIGHT. So, I'm not sure if I kept the mini heat press on too long (30-35 seconds) or if I didn't let the vinyl cool enough before removing the backing, but it pulled off a LOT of the paint around the vinyl and I even saw some spots where the glue on the htv may have melted and oozed out...😫 Where do you think I went wrong?
What is your preference on the type of vinyl that you use for a reverse canvas? I've done a couple with just permanent vinyl on unpainted canvas, they seem to be holding up well. Just curious as to what you think and why :) love your videos!!!

U can cut vinyl on the cricut mat?
