      How did you do the multiple colours on one brush?

    • @DoodlesFaceandBodyArt
      @DoodlesFaceandBodyArt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@umaagnihotri9386 You can use acrylics, oils etc (any liquid medium, really) to paint on other surfaces. Loading the brush is just different than when face painting. One way is to dip the corner edges of the brush in two different paints (so half the brush would be one color and the other half the other one). Swipe the brush back and forth on a piece of paper just enough to get the two colors to mix into that gradient. Then paint the rose the same way you would with face painting. Just make sure you clean and reload your brush when you begin to see that the colors are mixing into one.

      Hi Uma! Thank you for your comment. For face painting, real skin will always be the best canvas to practice on, BUT you can also use the practice boards I use in the videos (I have attached links in the description). These boards resemble those thin plastic sheets used as cutting boards. The ones with a rough texture work best. You can also paint on thick paper, you’ll just need more water and paint as the brush will dry quicker. Note that using paper and plastic as a canvas will give you a slightly different result than painting on skin and will be a little tough to get used to as the paint behaves different. They are great to practice on though!
      In terms of pressure, that comes with practice and getting familiar with your brush. Different pressures will give you different results. It’s all about pressing down on your brush. Don’t be afraid to play with pressure when practicing 😁 Hope this helps!

    • @DoodlesFaceandBodyArt
      @DoodlesFaceandBodyArt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for subscribing! :) I’ve never used thermochromic paint, but I’m intrigued! Technique wise it should be the same 🤔 The only difference are the paints as you need a light and dark color to give you the highlights and shadows you need to create definition. But it sounds like a very cool experiment to try out! If you can share it, I would love to see it! #doodlesfba

    • @DoodlesFaceandBodyArt

      Hi there! For face and body painting, the best surface to practice on will always be skin (thighs are great, as you have more space lol) the next best thing are plastic boards, but you can also use thick paper, it’ll just require a lot more paint.

    Does any brand of brush work or do you recommend a specific brush ?

    • @DoodlesFaceandBodyArt
      @DoodlesFaceandBodyArt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would recommend a flat brush (flat angled works too) that is on the thinner side and with short to medium length for the bristles. A 1/4, 3/4 and 1in brush will work. You don’t need a specific brand. I’ve found some at crafts stores that work (soft ones for face painting)

    • @DoodlesFaceandBodyArt
      @DoodlesFaceandBodyArt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I’m using face paint, but perhaps acrylic paint will work better on fabric as it’s more wet? I’ve use this technique with acrylics on a canvas and it works well. All you do is dip half of your brush in one paint and half on the other, (like red and white) and then swipe your brush on a scrap paper to blend the colors a bit before beginning to paint the rose. If you’re painting on fabric, it might help if you tape the fabric down and it’s stretched so it lays flat and there are no creases? I hope this helps! 🥰
