Hello! I have flown with both the pilots in my earlier job on the B777/787, Capt Isma and SFO Sharifa are excellent at their job. I wish them continued success and safe flights.
I feel absolutely safe no matter who flies the plane. The amount of training is, incredible and I just want to thank you for keeping us safe throughout the world.
One good thing about women pilots is that they undergo their check list thoroughly even though it might look like a long procedure, they would make sure that they don't miss out even on single minute detail. In fact, some male pilots should learn a thing or two as they are under oath for the safety of passengers on board. Their coolness, calmness, and collected beings want you to fly with their safety hands.
@@rehad6697 You dont have to trash male pilots in praising females. I know and have worked with many male pilots who do thorough checks, there is a procedures manual anyway and they too are concerned for their own safety. Everyone wants to live!!

Because I have met quite a few male pilots, in fact very few, saying that procedures are quite lengthy when they are in the "queue" and runaway is clear for take-off, and they have to be in time schedule allocated. Like I said in my comment, I have used the word "some male pilots" and did not refer as a whole. thanks for highlighting though.
787 is an amazing and beautiful aircraft inside and out; I love the cockpit, the wing, and the livery. I enjoy meeting these pilots, and I enjoy hearing everything and watching what goes on in the cockpit. I love that wing and engine view; seeing the engine start-up, takeoff, and during the flight in that view was awesome. I love seeing that 777 approaching and land near you, and once again as you take off. Awesome takeoff that sounds amazing. I love seeing that airport from above, and the view is just amazing to see. I love the different camera positions; having the mixture of the pilot's view, cockpit, and wing view was great. Great friendly pilots. Awesome video; I love it.
Unless you factor the loss of thrust from powerplants failure, Lithium Battery fires and cabin decompression due to engineering issues with the forward pressure bulkhead, it's no wonder God forbid we haven't had a total hull loss yet...

That plus the 787 programme has cost Boeing 30+ Billion Dollars because some suit put the shareholders in front of the company's reputation and survival. Other than that, everything is hunky-dory😁. Two very young women, piloting a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Woooowwww!!!! The amount of skill involved in this is truly amazing. I can't even drive my car properly and I'm 47.
This was my first time watching what happens prior to take off & a Lady Captain & First Officer, so thrilled to see this as I love plane spotting, I saw an A380 fly low on approach over Brisbane a few days ago, the first one welcomed back, love the distinctive sound of the jets as it flew over, can't wait until Tues to spot another, great video thankyou 😀 👍
I Love Both the Lady Pilots very good coordination and I love the First officers Explainlation showing the Lap all operation flying above North Saudi Arabia. I was always wishing to see the cockpit and pilot operating system from childhood days I was eager to see. Now wish is completed. Hats off to entire team and my Best
the biggest part of the flight is automized. The pilots only have to keep an eye on that, what the plane is doing during the flight. The tricky parts are takeoff and landing. This is always a challenge...... But anyhow, these two ladies are excellent pilots *thumbsup*

Hi!! I enjoyed the debriefing very much. Those ladies were excellent. They aligned and accelerated very nicely. They must've been at 90-95% engine thrust because although they got up to 80 knots very quickly the engines spewed up even higher minutes into the flight. And I heard a Boeing employee mention that each fan blade of the 787's engines represent 800 horsepower!! Those women are very sharp. Very very nice. Please keep coming out with more vlogs!!
Professionalism is not and should not be gender oriented in any skill. These ladies earned every bit of success every inch of the way. They don't let you fly passengers if your not fully qualified to do so. Best wishes and blue skies.

It appears to me, that perhaps take off and landings are the most critical. Judging from your video, seeing the co-pilot not struggling but lots of vibration. You guys are great.
Yes it is and also when they are the busiest and need to focus the most although they can sometimes be very busy during the entire approach phase into a busy airport.

it is actually easy it just look complex to someone who doesn't know what they're doing, but what is actually hard is what makes you a pilot and that is how you handle a failure situation on the aircraft.
Anybody can do it with the same training. There is a TV show on a Belgian channel that shows a guy with zero flying experience, taking off a 737 (NOT in simulator, but in the actual aircraft) then doing both the approach and landing by himself, after just a few weeks of training. Its just a complex bus in the sky.

I mean whats the point of the show? as you said anyone can fly a commercial aircraft and as far as know thats why it became impossible to a citizen to become a pilot! only an experienced military pilot who has a minimum of 1500 hours and nearly 80k $ to pay one year of work in the company he want to work with, YES you read right the pilot PAYS the company and they call it a payed training.. and then only MAYBE they hire him for a miserable salary of a homeless man the first months.. the paycheck raises as the years passes... Im not sure but in 2006 the companies killed the dream of anyone to become pilot, private schools of "pilotage" shutdown closed ruined, and licensed pilots are now doing what they can to survive because they threw all their money for that unreachable dream...! I was one of them.. YES I have an ATPL license and now I'm a barber... 🙂 so I repeat ; whats the point of that Belgian show? 🙏
I have always been jealous of most of these videos because I have never been able to afford the cost of getting a pilot license, since I was a boy I have always wanted to fly. it makes me sad that I can't.

When flying at FL410 and experiencing a rapid depressurization , time of consciousness is 7-10 seconds. How comforting that the pilots will pass out before being able to place their oxygen mask on because of their airline's hysteria with covid. In North America pilots aren't wearing face masks for that reason.
I love seeing these women flying. I've loved planes since I was little and my parents liked to picnic near the municipal airport in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. But, in my day (I'm 66) girls didn't fly (except of course they did, especially in WWII ferrying aircraft for the Allies). I read about planes from books my parents gave me. I had a favorite, the Hawker Hurricane. So, I was SO excited when I was 7 years old and found out Air Canada was sending two employees to our little mountain school (it was 1962), to talk about flying careers. Imagine my consternation LOL, when the boys went with Captain Wilson to learn about being a pilot and girls went with Miss Barbara (no last name I guess) to learn about being FA's. Never did get my license, life in the way blah blah lol. I did fly gliders but...retiring shortly and preparing for PPL. Thanks 'Just Planes'!
23:52 This may be a dumb question, but why does one pilot start the thrust, then the other pilot take over? Why not just have the one maintaining the thrust from start to finish? I see this on every flight so there must be a reason it's standard practice. Thanks for the video.
PM and PF and depends on airline SOP. Plus based on experience factors captain can abort TO while PF (which seems like the FO) in this case is focused on the TO roll. afaik.
It is the Captain's call and decision to abort a take-off or to perform a rejected take-off due to any emergency, for example engine fire or bird strike or FOD strike. The Pilot Flying is the first officer, so she will perform the take-off roll according to SOP but end of the day the thrust will always be in the hands of the Commander aka Captain.

In the trucking industry, woman make great drivers because they remain calm and patient. These two are great professionals in their element

I love seeing female pilots controlling an aircraft. It shows how our society has overcome certain barriers and prejudices.
After the Ethiopian group of female pilots flying a jet airliner by themselves, this Etihad pilots are the second group I have seen on JP.

When flying at FL410 and experiencing a rapid depressurization , time of consciousness is 7-10 seconds. How comforting that the pilots will pass out before being able to place their oxygen mask on because of their airline's hysteria with covid. In North America pilots aren't wearing face masks for that reason.
One day we will look back on this incredible global deception and just shake our heads.
It takes a second to remove a covid mask in a depressurization emergency. 😐
I love seeing these women flying. I've loved planes since I was little and my parents liked to picnic near the municipal airport in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. But, in my day (I'm 66) girls didn't fly (except of course they did, especially in WWII ferrying aircraft for the Allies). I read about planes from books my parents gave me. I had a favorite, the Hawker Hurricane. So, I was SO excited when I was 7 years old and found out Air Canada was sending two employees to our little mountain school (it was 1962), to talk about flying careers. Imagine my consternation LOL, when the boys went with Captain Wilson to learn about being a pilot and girls went with Miss Barbara (no last name I guess) to learn about being FA's. Never did get my license, life in the way blah blah lol. I did fly gliders but...retiring shortly and preparing for PPL. Thanks 'Just Planes'!
23:52 This may be a dumb question, but why does one pilot start the thrust, then the other pilot take over? Why not just have the one maintaining the thrust from start to finish? I see this on every flight so there must be a reason it's standard practice. Thanks for the video.
It's captain's decision only to stop or (reject) the take-off, so the captain's hand has to be on the thrust during take-off.
PM and PF and depends on airline SOP. Plus based on experience factors captain can abort TO while PF (which seems like the FO) in this case is focused on the TO roll. afaik.

Not a stupid question at all. I noticed it too and wandered :O)
It is the Captain's call and decision to abort a take-off or to perform a rejected take-off due to any emergency, for example engine fire or bird strike or FOD strike. The Pilot Flying is the first officer, so she will perform the take-off roll according to SOP but end of the day the thrust will always be in the hands of the Commander aka Captain.

Ser piloto e uma alta responsabilidade! Mulheres são iguais ao homens, em muitos casos são consideradas superiores, especialmente na maneira de lidar com situações de stress.
Como pai de uma mulher, sinto orgulho de ter trazido ao mundo uma BeBe que hoje é uma scientista em Biologia e Medecina.
