Blue Christmas he made it Country with the twang, his truck, dog, and cheating girlfriend. The whole video is one Easter egg after another. Folding all those shirts from past videos and his own merch. Arrows on the dryers look like Way Down. This is the third time we have seen that little tree and only the second time we have seen Geoff not wearing his wedding ring. Then we have Kathy coming in at the end to save our sad Geoff just like in Golden Hour. She'll keep him warm this Christmas of White. Kathy also mentions on her socials of Geoffs' folding skills.
Geoff was born in Virginia, but has lived and worked in Orlando, Florida for many years. This was not his first idea but the one he plumped for. If youve ever seen Elvis in a live performance where he ad libs in a song you know he can be hilarious. I'm sure he would love this. Listen to Geoff's outros on his videos and you can hear his normal voice.
Congratulations on your marriage. She is adorable. Thank you for another great reaction to Geoff. He sure has a way with words. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you both.
Great reaction. His face usually it gives away a bit in the beginning if there will be humor. The mp3 he made for his patrons has the song without the voice over and one with. So here we have a sad Christmas song full of "country" music tropes, a hopeful ending and easter eggs to hunt, a Great Christmas present... btw he addressed his laundry folding skills in the description.
Great reaction! When Geoff is just talking and relaxed his twang does sometimes come out. Like most non-country singers, it’s usually not detectable when he’s singing. But as he does more “western” songs as a soloist, he is leaning into the twang. My takeaway from this is how good an actor he is. He can play a ‘dumb blonde’ whenever he wants. You should have let your wife stay around for the reaction. Many other reactors do when it’s VoicePlay and especially Geoff. I hope you both have a great holiday!
@@1MannzOpinion I understand. My first Zoom call I thought I was going to die. But tell her it might be easier if she thinks of the people watching as friends. (I don’t think you get many trolls with Voiceplay or Geoff fans)
At first they thought about driving in the car. Then walking down the street by some stores. Then they came upon this laundromat. And after talking to the owners felt it was perfect. Dixie Laundromat in Orlando FL. Geoff is originally from Virginia but moved to Orlando with his parents when he was in elementary school.
I was thinking Florida during the video but knew that was where he lived now and knew he was from somewhere else lol, oh well. Thanks for reminding me.
Wow, I missed the respective video - congratulations for getting married! All the best to the both of you! ❤ And I was not ready for the twist, either... I just went like: "Wait... what???" 🤣
Merry Christmas and thanks for your reaction! Your wife is adorable and I am so happy for you- thanks for the introduction! This song has been covered by many country artists over the years and is a bit depressing. I loved Geoff's dry sense of humor turning into a spoof on the country music stereotyped themes of loss of truck, loss of dog, and loss of woman done him wrong and the twang and country style he gave it. Lots of fun Easter eggs here that bring us those memories from past covers for the holidays and the way he likes to end a sad song in a hopeful way.
Light the blue lighting , there was another background play I think you missed (an uncommon event): when he sings ‘decorations of red on a green Christmas tree, he’s folding a red tshirt then a green tshirt.
In Geoff's narration he says that his transgressions are numerous, with a glance at the camera. He's acknowledging that his spoof is about to take a turn. I felt the same way when you said egregious. Not a word that rolls off most people's tongues on a regular basis. I think you've got a bit of Geoff in you.
Did you notice that the laundry baskets changed colour? Both became bright white instead of dull blue. Also, lighting changed to brighter to follow mood.
In the absolute geographical sense, Orlando is in the southern portion of the US; but this is almost certainly irrelevant to the accent here. (Most of the population of the Orlando area is snow birds and retired people from up North, and most of the rest is Hispanic.) However, I don't know where Geoff grew up. Perhaps he moved to Orlando for a job (e.g., at a theme park) at some point; I don't know that history. It could also be at least partly the result of musical influences, e.g., we know that Geoff is an Elvis fan, so he is almost certainly familiar with that version of the song. There is no point whatsoever in folding a hoodie. It's way too informal an article of clothing for wrinkles to be an issue even if it were made out of fabric that could wrinkle, which it isn't. It's like folding gym socks. There are people who do it, but it's because they are mentally ill.

She isn't super comfortable camera yet but I'll run it by her, maybe she can stick around for one soon!

Definitely have similar southern roots!
Congratulations to both of you! Only a couple of days to a new year! Originally Virginia and moved to Florida with his folks.
I was thinking Florida but knew that wasn't right!

Was her hair blue before you got married? Or did you cause this? 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Fright can turn your hair white. Maybe passion can turn it blue.
She actually dyed it blue for the wedding! 🤣
Awww! Congrats!
Thank you!
@@1MannzOpinion Most welcome and hope you are having a lovely holiday season both!
