    Sifu, when one has seng, open joints, relaxed etc and acted upon (eg pushed) by someone, that someone often says that what they feel is like pushing on a rock or heavy object.
    1. What is felt by the one (with seng) being pushed? Does one still feel the pressure of the push of 'no effort' is being made to resist the push?
    2. While maintaining seng, where is one's 'focus, intent, awareness' (for lack of the propper term) when being pushed? At one's centre, at the contact point , or at the opponents centre?
    Many thanks.

      well I guess you didn't get an answer. I don't really know. but I do know a way of being heavy, Which is when someone tries to bearhug me and move me around or lift me, I just let go of everything opposite the direction they want to go, until it balances out. So basically, when you stand, you hold yourself up. and then if they try to lift you you just let them hold you up. And then you can do the same with the arm. so if it gets pushed, you just let them hold your arm where it is and you don't hold it anymore. but you'll have to be sensitive for the direction.

      Hi Corey, Very good questions...
      The person who is maintaining Seng has the intention to keep the joints open against the incoming force. SO to keep Seng, to keep the openness of the joints of the arms and legs. As if their body is a hose and they are keeping very part of the hose unblocked. In this state they will be surely able to feel their Center of Mass. once they feel the center of mass and keep the body open, its easy for them to aim/point their mass back to the person who is pushing. So they will rebound the incoming force back to them immediately.
      The feeling of the one performing it should be of lightness. So they should feel like they can step/kick while under the incoming pressure of the push. This is what we strive for in our method. I know many others try to be solid and rooted like a tree and feel heavy etc. But we dont do that as we believe there is not much use of being able to take pressure if we can't move cause in a combative situation we need to retain the ability to be agile and mobile under pressure.
      Hope that all makes sense Corey?

    King Sifu, this question is not directly related to the current content but I thought a better chance of you seeing it and responding if attached to a recent posting.
    Seng & TaiGung - my question is: when Sigung is touching one's tail bone, is he doing so to simply initiate one's awareness of the tail bone as the starting point for Seng, or, to physically perform a posterior tilt and 'tucking' of the pelvis for a slight flattening of the lower back as an initial step of Seng? I find that a 'relaxed' tucking of the pelvis leads to a feeling or 'intent' of Tai Gung naturally. My worry though is whether the action of tucking the pelvis, although not forced, is still too much of a muscular action and a source of tension in the lower spine opposing Seng. Thank you. Corey.

      Hi Corey. CST was assisting the student to gain awareness in that area and to relax the muscles around there, definitely NOT to tuck the pelvis forward.
      So my advice is to use Taigung to relax the mis section, lumbar area of the spine and the hip joints. When these areas are all relaxed and spacious then you feel like the tailbone can release down slightly without the tucking forward of the pelvis.

    wow that's amazing Sifu Nima thank you for sharing . lots of practice to feel and make those joints respond that way. Sifu quick question if I may, when you demostrated the wrist moving only are you moving straight up and down or are you arcing or twisting the wrist to one side?

    • @MindfulWingChun
      @MindfulWingChun  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hey Chris, for the wrist I was just turning the joints on the wrist which naturally arcs at the joint. Same as any other joint...

      connecting lower and upper body, i.e. opening the lumbar spine improved my structure a lot when trying these spring loaded doors, but "connecting to the door/massive object/training partner before contact is the next step for me. maybe it has sth. to do with opening the joints from the spine to the finger tips, or the direction of projection of force and to alow the free flow of force redirected by the door hinge. keeping on :)

    Bro you fake it at min 10:00 . You already capture his structure with your better structure. Yes you're stronger than him but when his structure is better than your's, you won't do it that easily. Less Ego more Training. You know, when you wan't to beat weak person to earn money than beat them honestly but you can't because It is not good for Video Tape. You abuse the internal here

    I realy don't get this theme that keeps coming up. How much power do you think you need cripple someone on the spot so to speak? It's ridiculous. You don't need almost any power to create huge pain on the side nerve of the leg. A little kid can cause real pain if he just knows to angle his shin bone on your nerve. It doesn't require mcuh training or muscles, just a little impact. Key word: nerve.

    • @MindfulWingChun
      @MindfulWingChun  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      ummmm okay. But I dont think you understand and realize what is going on. In my semianrs I invite anyone and everyone to kick me in the thigh from a short distance. I always allow people to kick me a few times before I give back one. Not sure what kid you know that can do this but looks like you know a future Mui Thai champion :)

    • @outofthebox7
      @outofthebox7 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MindfulWingChun You made the key word be: me or you or the kid, when the key the word is: NERVE. Focus on that. It doesn't need to much pressure for it to be hurting in pain.
      You can have a more tolerance to pain level, ok, especially if you did muai thai or Kiokusin, or if they may are kicking you wrong if you feel no real pain. But grinding the nerve there and at that angle is the easiest thing to do to provoke crippling pain, you can even do it with a chop or with a knuckle punch. Nothing extraordinary here.
