I usually still play Layton and Hirsch quite often, it’s a great nostalgia factor. Still making great stuff Flinter I can still remember when everyone was super excited for cotw release in 2017 coming off classic!
When it comes to moose with the .338, use soft points, way higher quick kill rate than polymer tips
How does that work?
Because it’s still enough penetration for a single lung which is the most common shot on a moose and the higher expansion kills faster

Honestly Hirsch Has Really Grown In Me Since NEM Came Out. It’s A Really Fun Map To Hunt On Now, Especially Hunting Bison And Pheasants.
Why was NEM the catalyst for you to enjoy it
@@Rob10420 When NEM Released They Added The Pheasants And Moved The Animals Around A Bit, Plus I Just Decided That I’d Play Some Of The Older Maps That I Thought Were Bad So That I Can See How Truly Awful Of A Map NEM Is.

The 7mm seems a little trolly. Deep penetration on the missed heart shot but the quartering to broadside shot looks like it hit ribs and nothing else. I've had a few elk run forever on frontal high angle downward shots that were lined up with the heart.
I'd like to see a better fatal shot animation than what they have now. If the engine knows it's a shot with seconds until death like a heart shot moose, they shouldn't be darting in the fleeing animation for two seconds and then fall over. Something more gradual like a slow face plant would be a bit more accurate.
HU3 had good animations like that. Ragdoll head shots, slow walk with the dropping head and some kicking on solid vital hits, and of course the fleeing with whiffed/suboptimal shots.

Hey @Flinter I know I haven’t commented on your videos in a while but while I was taking a shower, I had a thought what if cotw, classic, way of the Hunter, and red dead made one massive game with all the best features that would mean better animal movements, further render distance, animal animations, like two bucks getting their antlers stuck together better and realistic aggressive animal attacks, pouncing animals that you can kick off or a way to get them off of you and better graphics, Lots of guns and lots of lures to bring an animals in the game can be called “the Hunter wild winds” and it could be the most Hunting realistic game ever more realistic than the hunting games we have now you probably won’t agree with this, but it was just an idea that popped in my head
Seems like Red deer is spread out over the majority of the map. Found my second Diamond at the lake just south of the starting outpost/spawn point isch.

Maybe its me…..but has anyone else noticed that there is the same inflatable croc/gator on the last 2 things we’ve got NE map and LL lodge. One in a cabin on NE and the other in the hot tub at the lodge. Idk just seemed a little weird also the Te Awaroa map is in a frame upside down hung on a wall in the lodge. Maybe im grasping at straws but could it be a hint at something??

i had a bug that all my highlights and tracks where not lighting up and glowing even in spotting.
What scope were you using?
ive tried multiplayer two times. first time i crashed to desktop second time lost connection
Sadly cotw has had lots of issues with multiplayer, crashes, not getting to load in etc. would have liked to have seen it fixed by now because Xbox multiplayer doesn’t even work for longer than 30 mins maximum

I need some help I’ve asked a few friends to help me out my hunter call of the wild has got a glitch or bug or something I no longer see ammo count my reticles for the dot sites are gone tracking is out the window at this point of the game there are no tracks to see I have shot my first ever great one did the contact animation so I know I hit it went to go find the blood couldn’t even my dog couldn’t find blood. When spotting there is no glow around them so it’s kind of hard to tell when they are in a big group which one is the one worth shooting. I have turned everything off in settings then turned it back on didn’t fix it. I don’t know if it’s something I did or what need help because it’s starting to slowly effect the other maps I have it started on Mississippi now all my maps are like that this is on PC.

Some Guns Just Can’t Take Certain Skins. I Assume That The 7mm Can’t Take Things Like The Wood Grain Because It’s A Polymer Stock Weapon.

I have tried googling and can't find anything -- is there a benefit to playing on multiplayer specifically? I notice that you always mention it, and I assume it's not because you don't own the maps by any means, but are there more animals on multiplayer maps or something?
It’s Just About Checking Others Maps. If You’ve Checked Your Own Map And Didn’t Find Anything Of A Certain Species, Someone Else May Have It On Their Map. It’s Just About Being Not Predictable. You Never Know What You’ll Find On A Random Map.
A lot of times people aren’t checking the entirety of their maps, so it’s leaves a good chance to encounter diamonds and rares in places where you may not have zones on your own maps.
