Game/map knowledge trumps ammo IMO, we all know buying the "best" doesn't always secure you complete domination in a raid. Don't be cliché, challenge the meta.
im on my 2nd week of tarkov and there really was a moment where I used a pp91 kedr to kill a lvl45 with lvl5 plates and a face mask was moments before me asking my friend what bandages are for. Those first hours in tarkov are a rollercoaster

The mixture of “stream highlight” gameplay, with narrative-based moments in-raid (explaining your thought process in a certain moment, while ducking the game audio) is brilliant. I really really love the approach of taking each raid as a story, requiring multiple types of editing techniques (narrative, montage, stream highlights) to tell. Keep it up man, very great work.
Useful tip for the Grizzly medical item: if you are using it just to heal hp, you should click left mousebutton a few times after the treatment exp in the bottom right shows up. This cancels the rest of the 5 second animation (which doesn't provide more healing). The only time you want to go through the 5 second animation is when you are fixing bleeds/fractures with it.
Great video! Hey a tip for when you are trying to make more precise shots while scoped in is to leave it in semi auto so you get that consistent reset of the recoil. I noticed it fires in burst some times in full auto and is making you miss easy shots by accident. Hope this helps!
Props to you for using the Burris on your rifles, been my favorite multi-zoom scope ever since the Valday was sitting around 60k, and now that they nerfed it'd eye relief this patch, and the Elcan's aiming dot is way too big, the Burris' perfect sight picture and reticle make it easily my favorite for both sniping and close range engagements.

That would be easy, problem is not ammo there, it's not being head eyes'd across the whole city by aimbot algorithm. Or by Tagilla speedhack. Since for some fucking reason, once he locks on you with his hammer out, he can hit you from the range of a claymore and is somehow faster than you, even while being lit up by an M249 LMG.
I've only been playing 10 days and have been using AKs. I'm crafting m8561a ammo now to try it out tomorrow along with the M4. Great video Lewis. You're killing it bro.
Yeah people often forget to play to their strengths. Always baffled me when people shunned PRS saying you should at least get PS or PP - like bruh it has fairly decent flesh dmg, surely you are capable of aiming under the belt instead of the chest (because if you landed heads we wouldn't have this conversation now, would we?). Or people insisting on using AP slugs for shotguns quests - embrace the Magnum/Express for maximum pain. It's easier to just spam someone with buckshot and turning them into a mince than landing chest shot with AP and not hitting arms ..
Hey! Great video! I’m a fairly new Tarkov player, owned the game for awhile but this is my first time actually playing a bit during the wipe. As you can guess, I keep getting smacked around, but every now and then I land a few good raids. I watch your guides most over others since it just feels pretty short and to the point. Plus, I’m not Pestily or Shroud, their tips kinda don’t stick on me.
Be aware of youtube vids they are highlights haha. Just know everyone dies pretty often. Few people hold over a 75% survival rate past a 200 raids. I'm at like 52% after 250 raids and I'd consider myself an 7 out of 10 in tarkov scale

Know the map well enough that anything out of the ordinary necessarily means player, im not that good either but these guys know the map like I know the back of my hand
At this early - mid stage I’m totally with you. The majority of ppl are running lvl 4 body armor and you can fight with BT , 6A1, PS, M80 but later when it gets to lvl 5 body armor it’s definitely over for these rounds. Yesterday it took me 25 hits to kill 3 ppl on shoreline with an OP-SKS with PS rounds on lvl 4-5 armors. With BP it would be the half. But it’s quite to expensive for me atm 🤷♂️ Nice gameplay like always no yolo boost jump shit, nice accurate shots , keep it 👍🏻
@@SenkaBandit don’t build up the hideout before reaching 10.mio and you won’t struggle with money. All my buddy’s build this shit up and use it only slightly and waste all theier money on it 🙄
@Mother Russia it’s not only for the sks, every gun is in semi fire a money saver. I play a lot akmn and only go full auto in close range. it’s amazing how long you can stay into a fight if you make every shot count. With an 416 the ammo just fly out and you find your self in a long repacking mode.

I like your style, you earned another sub :) I think I've watched 20x more content than I've spent time in the game. My schedule always lines up towards the middle of the wipe and a lvl 1 player has zero chance hopping in that late.
Great video mate just a little tip if you're only healing with the grizzly, not stopping a bleed, you can cancel the animation after the first half of the animation and you'll have healed

I’ve been using T45M pretty religiously this wipe as well as PS. I think it’s safe to say that ammo only matters if your target looks like a giga chad, other than that if you land your shots you’re good
I think this is more relevant than ever in 0.14. I've been running 545 US in woods with a suppressed AKS74UB and just going for headshots with that low recoil, it's been working wonders.
I won't settle for anything that doesn't go through level 6 armor if I can. I don't care for price, I almost never play at range so I want the best possible ammo to be ready for anyone, even paca timmies. But good on you for playing with that ammo, whatever floats you boat :)
If its 4k he probably most likely gets 60fps average maybe . I'm not shure what specs he has or settings. It could be 1440p. 1440p you can get good fps and you can also upscale the resolution further in the settings.
I play in 1440p and upscale to 4k in post for a higher bitrate/quality on youtube. my fps is pretty decent though overall, usually somewhere between 85-120
I too get greedy and use PS on budget runs with aks or sks’. If you’re not aiming for explicitly the head, or enemies with zero armor, you can’t really expect much. Hence the cheap price tag
@@2Lew M995 got nerfed this wipe I believe; it’s cheaper than 55a1 and 56a1 on the market, because it has low low flesh damage and is outclassed by SAI AP for shooting at slicks and such now. However, it’s great getting to run m995 in all my m4s because the price is down!
I agree completely with what you said. If you're going for headshots then you really need is ammo that pens lv 4. Its very very rare you see altyns or any lv 5+ head armor. So generally if you're trying to play mid or long range engagements like he was with the vudu m4 then i think you can probably get away with any ammo that pens 4+. If you play to rush into dorms, resort go factory then you should probably bring the highest pen you can. No one is missing to much a close range, its very easy to full auto and so you want all your hits to be doing damage because in those fights that is what counts. The issue i have is i almost exclusively use holo scopes and have been for 3 wipes now. So whenever i do decide to take a vudu or HAMR or any other scope with some type of zoom i play so weird because i tend to move through the map fast and safe in more open areas and stick to the enclosed small areas because that is normally where my guns perform best, but its really hard to break out of that mindset and play into the more open areas and and avoid the closed ones.
@@2Lew Oh i can manage my shots pretty well and my aim is not the worst, but like, i'm never getting those players that just stand there for a while doing nothing :( Also completely unrelated but last time i played this game i was extract camped by a fully geared lvl 40, i may have cried and been afraid to touch tarkov ever since.
Last night, as a scav, I killed a TTV dude in full picked up Killa gear with a VPO using 366 Geska by taking potshots at him and just playing hit and run tactics. The armour still had durability on it so it must have been a combination of blunt damage and forcing him to bleed out since he was trying to escape. Ammo is great, but you can still die to the most unlikely of weapons.
i've been using M856A1 all the time for all the 4 wipes i've played. it's definitely sometimes harder to kill people (see, altyn slick bois) but it's still possible to kill them if you play it well. from CQC, u might die with it, but then again, not everyone runs altyn+slick :)
I figure you know this but if you use the pg up and down buttons it changes the zeroing range on your gun making you hit more accurately at different ranges
You had some FMJ in your inventory in an early clip - I thought "whoa, cool!" - then reveal that it was a decent ammo... oversold the "try weird shit" - that's not weird at all. That's the only 5.56 ammo I ran last wipe.
Phenomenal video glhf lad. Cheap ammo I use is the 556 sost ammo but I’ll have to try 56a1 and pp for the ak but 545 is a really weak round for me this wipe so I stick with 556 or 762 39 ps lastly the fmj blackout round since ap got move to peacekeeper 4

There is one ammo all of me and my friends live and die by: .366 AP. That shit is cheap, kicks a bit, but if you can get your shots in you can zero most armor in the game in a hand full of shots. Not to mention it's level 4 pen and does enough damage per bullet to one tap heads and thoraxes and black out any limb you hit otherwise. It's a monster in a 209 for those who put in the time to master the gun. On the flea? 5-600 Rubles per bullet if you don't craft it or buy it for cheaper. Where as M80 or other comparatively similar rounds can cost easily 50-100% that much and their guns are also way way more expensive. Don't sleep on .366 AP.

7.62x25 fmj ppsh leg meta is king, the fire rate and flesh damage melts in 2 seconds
5.45 US ammo 👀 slightly underrated with the flesh damage and the -15% Recoil it gives you
PstM out of a Klin is a solid choice against armor on the cheap. It's basically just running m855 out of a 100rpm hose.
same reason why i run sp6 over spp when i run val, spp has a +20 recoil modifier while sp6 has a +10 which makes it a lot more easy to control

better to right click so you don't accidentally shoot while canceling
Since it is tehnically a long 5 second regen,canceling it does indeed speed up things,and im happy to see others share this knowledge
If you do it too early it could heal less then the desirable amount especially on high hp body parts such as thorax and stomach.

Ammos too expensive, so I just run mid tier shit like 5.45 PP and 5.56 M855 and aim for the head

Another tip is to only pack the top of your mags with goood ammo, Say 10 m995 the rest 56a1 or 55

Great video mate just a little tip if you're only healing with the grizzly, not stopping a bleed, you can cancel the animation after the first half of the animation and you'll have healed

I’ve been using T45M pretty religiously this wipe as well as PS. I think it’s safe to say that ammo only matters if your target looks like a giga chad, other than that if you land your shots you’re good
I think this is more relevant than ever in 0.14. I've been running 545 US in woods with a suppressed AKS74UB and just going for headshots with that low recoil, it's been working wonders.

I won't settle for anything that doesn't go through level 6 armor if I can. I don't care for price, I almost never play at range so I want the best possible ammo to be ready for anyone, even paca timmies. But good on you for playing with that ammo, whatever floats you boat :)

Are you really play tarkov in 4k? how much fps do you got there?
If its 4k he probably most likely gets 60fps average maybe . I'm not shure what specs he has or settings. It could be 1440p. 1440p you can get good fps and you can also upscale the resolution further in the settings.
I play in 1440p and upscale to 4k in post for a higher bitrate/quality on youtube. my fps is pretty decent though overall, usually somewhere between 85-120

AP 20 and M855A1 are my two favorite rounds in the game purely because they are not the "best" ammo but they are incredibly powerful for their price.
855a1 has been crazy expensive this whole wipe though unless you have Skier 4

I too get greedy and use PS on budget runs with aks or sks’. If you’re not aiming for explicitly the head, or enemies with zero armor, you can’t really expect much. Hence the cheap price tag
@@2Lew M995 got nerfed this wipe I believe; it’s cheaper than 55a1 and 56a1 on the market, because it has low low flesh damage and is outclassed by SAI AP for shooting at slicks and such now. However, it’s great getting to run m995 in all my m4s because the price is down!
I agree completely with what you said. If you're going for headshots then you really need is ammo that pens lv 4. Its very very rare you see altyns or any lv 5+ head armor. So generally if you're trying to play mid or long range engagements like he was with the vudu m4 then i think you can probably get away with any ammo that pens 4+. If you play to rush into dorms, resort go factory then you should probably bring the highest pen you can. No one is missing to much a close range, its very easy to full auto and so you want all your hits to be doing damage because in those fights that is what counts. The issue i have is i almost exclusively use holo scopes and have been for 3 wipes now. So whenever i do decide to take a vudu or HAMR or any other scope with some type of zoom i play so weird because i tend to move through the map fast and safe in more open areas and stick to the enclosed small areas because that is normally where my guns perform best, but its really hard to break out of that mindset and play into the more open areas and and avoid the closed ones.
Love the editing style. If you do it yourself big ups, if not, give your editor a raise.

Last night, as a scav, I killed a TTV dude in full picked up Killa gear with a VPO using 366 Geska by taking potshots at him and just playing hit and run tactics. The armour still had durability on it so it must have been a combination of blunt damage and forcing him to bleed out since he was trying to escape. Ammo is great, but you can still die to the most unlikely of weapons.

i've been using M856A1 all the time for all the 4 wipes i've played. it's definitely sometimes harder to kill people (see, altyn slick bois) but it's still possible to kill them if you play it well. from CQC, u might die with it, but then again, not everyone runs altyn+slick :)
I think it melts for the price. Obviously 55a1 is better but by no means is it a bad ammo. It’s mid tier 556 ammo.
I figure you know this but if you use the pg up and down buttons it changes the zeroing range on your gun making you hit more accurately at different ranges

You had some FMJ in your inventory in an early clip - I thought "whoa, cool!" - then reveal that it was a decent ammo... oversold the "try weird shit" - that's not weird at all. That's the only 5.56 ammo I ran last wipe.

Cheap ammo I use is the 556 sost ammo but I’ll have to try 56a1 and pp for the ak but 545 is a really weak round for me this wipe so I stick with 556 or 762 39 ps lastly the fmj blackout round since ap got move to peacekeeper 4

There is one ammo all of me and my friends live and die by: .366 AP. That shit is cheap, kicks a bit, but if you can get your shots in you can zero most armor in the game in a hand full of shots. Not to mention it's level 4 pen and does enough damage per bullet to one tap heads and thoraxes and black out any limb you hit otherwise. It's a monster in a 209 for those who put in the time to master the gun. On the flea? 5-600 Rubles per bullet if you don't craft it or buy it for cheaper. Where as M80 or other comparatively similar rounds can cost easily 50-100% that much and their guns are also way way more expensive. Don't sleep on .366 AP.
