This piece turned out very pretty. That technique does take some practise. I think the thing is to try not to move your pour too much. Pour in the same spot as you turn the table and just slightly move the pour. It is so much easier said then done lol.
Ya know, it was only last night that I was watching a video of someone using a spinner. I thought, 'Chris should try that!'. And you heard me lol! Right after you'd poured, the centre of the paint looked like you'd used a split cup! And making a spout by putting tape over the cup is genius! Beautiful lines, and delicate fronds. I love it 😍😘

Chrissy, this turned out really pretty. I have just gotten a turntable myself and a split cup with five chambers. I thought your bronze was the Pearl Rich Brown which I have but not their bronze but I've heard from many that is is wonderful as is their Pearl Marmalade which is their version of copper. I don' have that one either but have so many bronzes I dare not get any more. I'm not sure if you've seen Fiona from Slovenia do her split cup on a turntable but hers turn outstanding! They do look like a circular feather! She also does amazing dips done after a bottle bottom pour which I have not yet tried. I so love that electric blue! The turquoise is beautiful too but oddly have not yet used it. I tend to use a lot of turquoise that is more in the green turquoise colors I guess and of course I want copper to go with it. Be careful with their pinks. They are most awesome beauties but are not far enough apart in a pour to make much of a difference. In a painting like you do with your embellishments it would make a difference but they are extremely similar. I loved all of your embellished paintings. I think my niece would love that little fella you did for her son's room. If possible perhaps you could send me the price on it. I will tell her or her mother and it might be a wonderful Christmas or birthday present for him. He is one of those, "I'll get that induction done right after Christmas" babies. I am a Christmas baby of nearly 68 years, yikes! Anyway, you've got my email address now so send me a price on that and I'll. have her mother watch this and see if she wants to get it because he will be turning 3 this December. BTW, I gave the estimate to the lady that commissioned a painting and she nearly had a heart attack. I found some cheaper smaller canvases and came up with a new price so I don't know if she is still interested.

Chris that is absolutely gorgeous! I was surprised how clumsy the spinner felt for me as well so I was kind of happy to hear someone else say that. It's going to take some time to get used to that LOL but what a sweet surprise for you!
Since you use Poly in your medium, do you still seal it with a varnish or more Poly when it’s finished - or if you’re happy when you’re finished with the pour, is it sealed adequately?
The hope when this PM was developed was that it would not be necessary to varnish, that it would dry with a sheen, but alas, that is not the case. It dries silky smooth, but still needs varnishing if you want a gloss finish. Thanks for asking (and watching!)! 😘
