- It's my travel day to Albufeira, Portugal at long last, and I'm very excited. We're up at 3:30am and head over to Bristol Airport by car. We're using Silver Parking Zone at Bristol Airport for the first time. When we arrive at airport security, we find it is so busy that people are actually missing their flights because of it. Luckily, in spite of having arrived at the airport over two hours before our flight, we just about make it to our boarding gate in time to board the plane
We fly to Faro with Easyjet, and enjoy the delights of a private taxi transfer laid on by TUI, which was included in the price of our holiday.
When we arrive at our hotel, the room isn't ready for hours, so we leave our cases at the hotel and set out on foot to explore a bit of Albufeira. First stop of course was a café and that first taste of Portuguese coffee since arriving in the Algarve!

You're up so early! Looks like it was worth it though. I love your bright pink suitcase! Bright colors are so much easier to spot on the carousel. Looks like you had good weather. Those cliffs look gorgeous.
I find airports so stressful. People, lineups, luggage, overhead speakers, voices, etc..etc.. haha. It's almost like I could feel the warm air once you landed. Sure hope you have wonderful weather, and do some exploring. Thanks for taking us along.. xo
One of the perks me and Will get from our frequent flyer status with BA is we can use express lanes for bag drop, checkin and security - sometimes is makes a massive difference to the time you spend stood around in queues.

I remember coming into faro the same day as you from Bristol and we had extremely heavy cross wind entering faro and we had to go around and do 2 attempts

I know I'm staying at Paladim Alagoamar Hotel for 2 weeks next year, plus I got 3 Entrances - full day) - Ticket Only for Zoomarine Experience. I'm just not sure if my plan covers soft drinks with me only doing half-board.

I am a big fan of Portugal. My favorite beaches are the ones that stretch between Lisbon to Estoril. I know that the British love the Algarve though.

Maybe the air conditioned surroundings on the aeroplane made your lip feel worse Imo..I do hope it clears up soon you must be sick of it. I could be wrong but I am sure I read somwhere that sunshine is NOT good for impetigo and makes it spread...I do hope I am wrong. Chin up Imo, I'm sure you'll have a great time.xx

Would a Steroid cream work, or is that what you're on? It looks sore, get well soon Imo.
I’ve never been prescribed steroid cream for it, and neither has my daughter. It’s always been fucidin antibiotic cream until now, when I got put on oral antibiotics instead. Apparently this is normal now? Thanks so much for watching. 😃
