There is a much simpler method available. Don't know why that was not used. Having come upto 1111x9999,the result is directly 1111x(10000-1) = 11110000 - 1111 = 11108889
Directy we can multiply 1111x9999 ( here number of 1s and 9s are same, that is 4) Subtract 1 from 1111= 1110. Now subtract each digit by 9 That is 8889. So 1111x9999=11108889. Another example to understand above multiplication is 5436x 9999 = 54354564 Please note 5436 hss four digits, and also four 9s
It is just as easy to multiply 9999 x 1111, instead of 3333 x 3333
