My dear friend don't use water proofing cement. I used dsp Dalmia cement after removing 21days of shuttering I saw Conner edges of beam are collapse during the removal of wooden shuttering and also saw some hair line crack of the beam and slab. Waterproof cement add some hydrophobic agent that way not curing properly.
This not meant for beam, it's meant for water proofing of roof

avijeet baishya there are many other reasons for appearance of hairline cracks , like improper mix , gaps in shuttering plates leading to leakage of concrete slurry , use of sand with high silt content , gap graded aggregates , not sufficiently braced shuttering , lack of clear cover in the beam etc

Due to powdery form, too much water breaks the hydrophobic coating temporarily and hydrates to form the concrete mix with sand and stone.
Once it dries and hardens. It becomes strong again and resist water.

This is just a copy of ACC GOLD.. could you mention the polymers added.. or is it just, stearic acid or fatty acids..!! Also would like to rectify, it is a water repellent cement but not waterproof cement..??? Could you also share the water penetration test report being conducted to test such cements, with water penetration @ 12 bars pressure..

@@ramraonirgude5125 PPC is always better amd more durable, until or unless u want "early" formwork removal..or "early" strenth.. u have sufficient time and req. More strength, opt for PPC. It's because of pozoalanic particles the concrete made is more denser..
