Hi Kevin & Ray, thank-you so much for the lovely shout out for our TH-cam channel. We have been watching your podcast for a while now, and love it, especially when 9”circulars come up 😀. Happy making, Petra & Natasha 🥰
Another mother daughter podcast to watch is Knit My Way Home. It's a new monthly podcast with knitters Loretta, mom, and Natalia, ten-year-old daughter. They live in the Yukon and film their podcast outdoors at beautiful locations. They have a great rapport, and have some beautiful projects. Their last episode, episode 3, had me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened. Also, Natalia has some good reads she tells us about.
Love, love, love your podcast! Got lucky today and saw it 1 minute after it was uploaded. You are two of my biggest “enablers” I have so many new project bags and more yarn than I can ever knit. Ray it is because of you and your Flax that last fall I knit 7 sweaters for my grandchildren. One grandson had been asking me to knit him a sweater so I made him the Flax have to be fair so the other six got one too. Now my sons asked for the same sweater I have three sons. Also have two daughters, three daughters-in-laws, and two sons-in-laws look what you started!!! LOL Thank goodness the girls are picking different patterns kind of tired of Flax
Great to see you guys again, Hi from the UK. I came across your podcast a couple of weeks ago and I’m slowly working my way through your episodes. You guys are a ray of sunshine ☀️ xxxxx
I bought 4 cones of dishie. I've made the Delightful Dishcloths a few times and actually went down a needle size for a denser fabric. I've also made double thick single crochet potholder/trivets. It also makes great wash cloths for the shower and I'm considering making a few soap sacks. I usually knit my socks with US 0/2 mm needles, I wear them out too quickly if I use a US 1/2.25 mm. Amazon sells chiaogoo stoppers for their cables. I have quite a few for the normal cables and I also bought an extra set for their mini twists interchangeable needles.
Hi Kathryn - I will have to try the dishcloths with a smaller needled and see how they turn out, thank you for the suggestion. We love them as washcloths. Good idea about the needles stoppers, I'm sure I'll be picking up some.
Enjoy you both so much! Ray, when you turned your scarf around the show the stripped side, I literally gasped at how beautiful it was! Thanks for sharing!
Hi, guys! Great episode👍 I’m a nurse from New Hampshire and was thrilled to hear that you love the granite state 👏👏👏 you guys really make my week a lot happier😊
Kevin your dyeing is beautiful...all of them are colors on my radar. You do such a great job. Love your podcast and look so forward, when I see it posted I run and get a coffee and knitting.
I just want to tell you how much you both make me smile! You both are so much fun to watch and I want to thank you for keeping us inspired and for sharing ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank You. I really enjoy watching you all and you keep me laughing . The yarn you dyed is beautiful can't wait to see what you make with it and both the sweaters you are making are going to be very nice.
Love watching you guys. You always make me laugh. I love looking at your knitting and I get a lot of ideas for my next projects from you guys. I’m also a nurse at a hospital in Canada and you guys give a breath of fresh air during these hard times.
I am giving 9-inch circular needles a go, and when I was telling my husband about them, I did it in an ASMR voice. I literally cannot say "9-inch circular needles" without using that voice. I do it in my head, too.
9 inch circular needles are all I can knit socks with! I do the heel flap, heel turn and toes on DPNS. That was the only way I could figure out sock knitting.
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast just so you know, someone I did not know was listening to y'all said "9 In circular needles" in a special voice, when I laughed she said "oh don't you love them "- its like the secret handshake - or the dark mark......
Loving your podcast! I hope I get lucky with some of your yarn today, I'll be ready when it goes live! I live to hear Ray say, " Nine inch circulars" !!! I love starting my day like that - great day!!
I started watching, listening about the lawn work, so stopped and went and mowed my lawn..LOL!!! It’s supposed to rain tomorrow. Now I’m going to rest and finish watching this. Found you on Instagram too. Loved seeing all the dyed yarns.
Omg. I loved your podcast but my heart skipped a beat when your adorable dog came on. We have had 4 Yorkies. We have a 10 year old named Buddy now. So happy to have found your podcast. I think this is my 3rd one. ❤️🐓
Lovely to see what you have been knitting . Looking forward to seeing your new knit Ray , the yarn you are using is stunning . You have been so busy dyeing Kev. Stay safe . Hi Tarquin 🐾 from the UK
Hey Guys, nice to hang out with you! Knit Ink has a great recent episode about their knitting cruise with Arne and Carlos last year -they almost didn’t get to go (wild story). I have a wood pellet grill with a pizza attachment - makes the best pizza and can be used for rib eye 😋. I have a propane griddle and making eggs, bacon, and pancakes are delish -ya gotta save the WW bonus points for that meal!
Another series to watch on Netflix is The Serpent. Love your knitting and podcast!!! Enjoy when you talk about movies, books, etc. Keep it up boys!!!!🤗🤗
Hi, fellas! Glad to see your smiling faces. Y'all have inspired me to knit my first sweater. I'm using an inexpensive acrylic for my first run, but I'll be ready with that wool come late summer. :)
Dirty ballerina, now that's a name lol. Pistil is what you're thinking of :) That peach, purple and brown skein is awesome. Ross would love your lime green that didn't turn out chartreuse. Fun markers and super nice bags. Is it bad I know that's Tula Pink fabric? LOL. I like the flavor of charcoal but we have gas. Ribeyes or beef tenderloin medallions are a fave.
Gas grill, bar-b-qued ribs and corn on the cob. Great show, you guys are so fun. Loved seeing Tarquin, he is adorable. Kevin, your yarn dying could become the job you love, you have great colors. Have a great couple of weeks.
You guys were so funny tonight....great podcast. I love Knitting Traditions. Inge is amazing for sure! I love steak and grilled veggies! Charcoal is preferred but no time for it!

(I'm the only one in my family that says that.) It's so awesome Kevin started this to become part of the knitting community. I started watching knitting TH-camrs for the same reason. When you guys start talking about the other podcasts that I also love to watch (Chevyrell, The Bearded Purl, WhotKnot, ect.) it really does feel like a community. I am a Gemini, and the hubs is a Leo, but I cannot get him to knit. I think its so fun that you guys share that love of all things fiber. Hope you have a great couple of weeks, see you soon!!
How cool!! Kevin is a Gemini and Ray the Leo 😉 You’re absolutely right about the community, it’s just amazing and so supportive! Hope you have a wonderful week!! ❤️❤️
Great podcast. Makes perfect sense going to buy grass seed and coming home with a lawn mower. I mean once the grass starts growing you need the new lawnmower. Love seeing all your knits (both actual and soon to be). Have a great week .
Ray - I have read Good Omens at least a dozen times. It is comfort reading for me. Terry Pratchett is the best satirist I have ever read and I highly recommend you try the Discworld novels.
Hello! It is so nice to see you and to be watching you from home rather than another venue. I am also watching shadow and bone and it’s something my husband and I can both enjoy, which is very rare. So much fun stuff in this episode. Thank you for the knitting Posse shout out! And we must sync up soon🌻🦋 Lorien
You guys crack me up! Well, I have learned my lesson ... I will watch your podcast the minute I get my notification because once again, I missed out on getting some of that beautiful yarn! Thanks for another great podcast!
I love grilled salmon with grilled caesar salad (with homemade dressing) and toasting the baguette slices on the grill and rubbing the garlic cloves on while still hot...so good. I like both charcoal and gas, they both have their place.
So sorry I missed the shop up-date, loved the blue-jeans color and the teal wow. So good to hear that you have found Inge from Knitting traditions she has so much talent. I alway look forward to your episodes really like the interaction you two have. Until next time 😘😘
Yay. You did it Ray. “9 inch circular needles”. Maybe it’s my English sense of humour, but I just love that. I can’t stop laughing. Those small socks are fabulous. Kevin your work is fabulous. You two are just so entertaining. 😀
I've only recently come across your podcast and I am really enjoying it, thanks so much for great content, guys. Ray, your 9 inch circular needle voice is the best! I love my 9 inch circs and find myself lowering my voice and leaning in when I say it now!
I found you via a suggestion and I'm glad I did. I love that not only do you talk about yarn and such, but also books and TV. Im totally going to check out the Victoria Danann books.
Enjoyed your episode. The slouch hat and the yarns you have dyed are wonderful! Sorry to miss your zoom get together last Saturday. Hearing you talk about the May event, I get it now that one has to sign up anew each time. I think I had thought it was a one time sign up. Look forward to the next episode. Best wishes for May!
I love you 2 so much! Especially when Ray tells us about his....9..inch...circulars.... You two are the best! Gonna sign up for Bingo ne of these days. Happy Spring!
Kate from The last homely house made a blanket like that, changing colors on each half of some of the squares. Love the new hats - especially the orange and dark blue one!
Great podcast! You guys had me laughing out loud a few times. Oh I love my propane grill and especially like to do a medley of vegetables and turkey burgers. When Kevin was talking about curating all the great yarns and then holding onto them for the perfect project, I could totally relate!! What am I waiting for?? I have some amazing yarns that I need to get busy knitting, thanks for the push.
Hiiii :) i just found you two. I instantly liked you and i think it is so refreshing to have two persons sitting there and podcasting, instead of just one ! Love it :)))
I love you guys and your way of interacting with each other. You are both very supportive of each other. Kevin, I do have a comment on saving yarn for something ( who know what). I have been knitting for over 60 years and have a large stash of yarn which I have collected. I came to realize that I have a SABLE stash and someone would eventually have to deal with it. Over the past two years I have Been going through my stash and selling off the full balls and gifting to my friends balls and ends for their projects. I have also been on a yarn diet for a couple of years. I am down about 1/4 of my stash and still need to get rid of more. Have fun using your stash.
Ray - I read Good Omens and liked it, but not as much as I was hoping. Definitely enjoyed the Amazon series much more! Thank you both for these podcasts! You help me find patterns that I can make for my husband, introduce me to shops, and keep me company while I cook and clean my kitchen on weekend!
WOW! What a great episode guys!!! @Kevin-Those yarns you dyed are just incredible!!! @Ray-Your Honeycomb shawl looks absolutely incredible! I can't wait to see the finished project! And those Scrappy Angel HP bags are off the hook! I couldn't click on the link to her shop fast enough, and they are sold out, so I'm going to be watching for those to hopefully come back soon! But, oh happy day, I did manage to get the last Star Trek tote back from Naughty Knitting! Woo Hoo! Hope y'all have a fantastic couple of weeks, and see you in a fortnight!!! 😎🤘💖👌🧡💛💚💙💜🌈☀️
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast Just finished Episode 1-7 over the last two days, and oh how much fun! 🤣😁😎 It has been a ride going back to watch y'all from the very beginning, since I started watching the Podcast on Episode 34, so this has been a treat! Over the last month I've watched everything from Episode 36 going back to Episode 16, and then the TH-cam algorithm thought I should start with Episode 1. HAHA!!! I'm so glad that you stuck to your guns with not editing the videos, and I agree that it just seems so much more personal. It really does feel like I'm sitting back in the room with y'all while I'm crushing out a blanket and watching you on the big-screen. I was cracking me up when you were both talking about how long the videos were getting!! I was thinking to myself 'wow, there are way too short!' LOL 🤣🤣🤣 It actually didn't dawn on me until Episode 3 when Ray started to talk about his job, and the Essential Workers, that you started the podcast during [that] time. I'm looking forward to finishing out Episode 8-15 this week!!! You two are just the best, so much fun to watch, and I sincerely hope you don't change your format for the podcasts .. they are just THE BEST!!! Peace+Love&Yarn -Steven
Hi Marisa - Thank you for watching and commenting. I know, I need to give this new position a little more time. I was just super frustrated this week :)
Your podcast is one of my favorites!!! Can you talk about the cute drawing on your book shelf behind you? Love your yarn hopefully I will purchase a skein!! Xxx
Hi guys, always a excellent moment with you...what i prefer on grill is salmon on cedar wood with a "marinade" maple syrup/mustard and asparagus on the side !
Ray, if you love making a slouchy hat, you will become obsessed with the Musselburgh hat. Just finished mine in JaggerSpun sport wt, in Highland Heather. ...so so beautiful! Love you guys , Lorraine 💕💕
Personification is so much fun. So many projects to be done. I like your ideas or rotating through my projects. I have had that thought, but do not like to hear the negative teasing when I mention it. I live by myself and endeavor to share my ideas. Too many do not get it, so I have come to keep it to myself.
I currently have 3 projects going, 2 knit & one crochet. I have them in different spots of my living room. I work on whichever one is where I happen to sit. Lol!!
Finally getting a chance to finish watching this episode! Working on a super chill garter shawl while I watch and then going to my wheel. I neeeed you both to try spinning and let me know what you think. It’s so, so soothing. I wonder if Kevin would take to it as quickly as he did dyeing.
Hi Tracy - I have a spinning wheel and enjoyed it, but is has been a few years since I have used it, it is on my list of something to get back to. - Kevin
Yay!! Your notification popped up while I was still trying to mow my half acre and I had to wait to watch!!!! 😱 Speaking of work, I really LOVED what I did, but I had gotten to a point where it was time to go while I was still good at my game.. 32 years is AMAZINGLY long for what I did!! I LOVE the decrease on the hat!! I need something new That looks like a very "clean" top!!! I finished a sockhead as a brimmed non-slouch, it was snapped up immediately by one of my daughters friends.... She said she wouldn't have taken it if it was slouchy. 🤷 Kevin, I LOVE your yarns!!!! Oh my!!! Angel's bag!!! It's (gasp) a basket too!!! I'm a basket knitter!!! It's already in the 90°'s here. ☹️ Bbq tritip over charcoal!!!😋 Have a great fortnite!!!
Hi Kevin and Ray! Another fun podcast, thanks! My favorite grilled food is Emeril Legasse’s Cedar-Planked Teriyaki Salmon. I don’t make it often because of the number of ingredients, but it is delicious!
Ray, I personalise my WIPs too! And then I feel guilt when I find one that has been hiding away in a project bag and I have forgotten about it for a while. Oh the shame!! 🤣🤣
Love to watch both of you podcast! You are happy, funny, sweet, and wonderful knitters. Thank you for all the time time you give

Kate from The last homely house made a blanket like that, changing colors on each half of some of the squares. Love the new hats - especially the orange and dark blue one!
Thank you!!
I am a new watcher. Enjoying you very much. Love your hats and wash clothes. The self dyed yarn looks so good. I want to try doing that.
Hi Sandra - Thank you so much for checking out the channel, we really appreciate it. Definitely try dying yarn, it is really fun.
Hi Susie! Veggies and turkey burgers are good on the grill. We need to start working through our stash too :)
It's good to see ya! And on the adventure we go! (Hey, I finally caught one and I'm not on the mountain or a train!)
LOL Fizz. Glad you were able to catch the episode.
Hiiii :) i just found you two. I instantly liked you and i think it is so refreshing to have two persons sitting there and podcasting, instead of just one ! Love it :)))
Aww thanks so much! We love doing this and meeting all you wonderful people 🥰
I love you guys and your way of interacting with each other.
Thanks Donna! It’s been a lot of fun pulling out scraps and older yarns. Like a walk down memory lane ❤️❤️
Aww thanks so much! Glad we could help bring you some inspiration! Also, Good Omens is definitely on our to watch list!
Ray, I am always greatful to wake up every morning, the alternative isn’t great but you will never know /wake up for the alternative. Lol
Same here!! I’m always greatful for a new day ❤️

Love the way you both greet your handsome little pup.
Aww thanks Karen! We just need to get pictures and send it out 😊
What??!! I missed a Star Trek bag??!!! Uhg 🥺 lol now I’ve gotta stalk her shop!
Wow, they're carpet bags, I love them! I also loved the Shadow and bone series and am looking forward to series 2
Love Shadow and Bone, the 2nd series was really good too.
Kevin, find a job you love. Ray, you are my kind of guy...naming the 7 dwarfs.
Hi Marisa - Thank you for watching and commenting. I know, I need to give this new position a little more time. I was just super frustrated this week :)
I live corn on the cob on the grill. Absolutely the best. Loved my every fortnight podcast viewing with you awesome guys.
Thank you Julie! Totally agree about the grilled corn.
Your podcast is one of my favorites!!! Can you talk about the cute drawing on your book shelf behind you? Love your yarn hopefully I will purchase a skein!! Xxx
Thanks so much!! That was made by one of our viewers JediDragoon. She also has a podcast 🥰

I love Good Omens! Book and Amazon series.
Hi guys, always a excellent moment with you...what i prefer on grill is salmon on cedar wood with a "marinade" maple syrup/mustard and asparagus on the side !
Hi Gaelle - Thank you so much for watching! Asparagus on the grill is one of our favorite veggies.
Ray, if you love making a slouchy hat, you will become obsessed with the Musselburgh hat. Just finished mine in JaggerSpun sport wt, in Highland Heather. ...so so beautiful! Love you guys , Lorraine 💕💕
I’m totally going to try it!! It looks sooo cozy 🥰🥰
That purple is like crocus flowers.
easier to cook on propane, but I love fresh caught salmon on the grill. mmmmm
I love the blue yarn on those socks. Such a great colour.
Couldn't agree more about propane. The blue socks are so pretty.
Finally something good to watch this Saturday afternoon! 🙌
LOL I just got way too excited when the notification popped up! And it isn't even like I am not busy, but ....podcast.
Hope you enjoyed it Chelsea!
Aww thank you Holly!
That color would make a gorgeous sweater. Love the blue!
Thank you Cherolyn!
Personification is so much fun. So many projects to be done. I like your ideas or rotating through my projects. I have had that thought, but do not like to hear the negative teasing when I mention it. I live by myself and endeavor to share my ideas. Too many do not get it, so I have come to keep it to myself.
I agree, way too much negativity floating around but we have to do what makes us happy 😃
Went to look at your spring hats. Cute! You can wear them to keep the sun off when using your new lawn mower!
Lol the neighbors would totally be jealous!!
I currently have 3 projects going, 2 knit & one crochet. I have them in different spots of my living room. I work on whichever one is where I happen to sit. Lol!!
LOL that is a good way to spread them out.
Hello from New Orleans Louisiana. Love y’all podcast and beautiful projects. Y’all are both so talented.❤️🧶👏❤️🧶👏
Thank you so much Karen! We appreciate you watching and commenting.
- Kevin
“It’s gonna be MAY” I’m subscribed at that😂 you two are hilarious, not even done with this episode but I can’t wait to binge more in the future
Hi Livi!!! LOL thank you so much, we really appreciate you watching and subscribing.
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast no, thank you! I feel like we’re all knitting buddies, I’m so happy to have found you two
Yay!!
Your notification popped up while I was still trying to mow my half acre and I had to wait to watch!!!! 😱
Speaking of work, I really LOVED what I did, but I had gotten to a point where it was time to go while I was still good at my game..
Kevin, I LOVE your yarns!!!!
Oh my!!! Angel's bag!!! It's (gasp) a basket too!!! I'm a basket knitter!!!
It's already in the 90°'s here. ☹️
Bbq tritip over charcoal!!!😋
Have a great fortnite!!!
Yes!! And holy cow that’s warm already!! I was really happy with the decreases and totally agree that it’s nice to try something new 😊
I love you guys! Thank you for another great podcast ..
Aww thanks Ginny!! 🥰🥰
LOVE YOU TWO GUYS, YOUR SO FUNNY AND TALENTED KNITTERS : )
Aww thanks so much!! ❤️❤️
Hi Kevin and Ray! Another fun podcast, thanks! My favorite grilled food is Emeril Legasse’s Cedar-Planked Teriyaki Salmon. I don’t make it often because of the number of ingredients, but it is delicious!
My family loved everything Emeril! They still keep Oreos in the freezer lol 😂
Ray, I personalise my WIPs too! And then I feel guilt when I find one that has been hiding away in a project bag and I have forgotten about it for a while. Oh the shame!! 🤣🤣
OMG Nikki totally get it lol.
