Did you use an airbrush or paintbrush to paint the black and silver. Also what is the oil wash, and the primer? I can't find the primer online.

Hi, thank you for watching. I only used an airbrush to paint this kit. The oil that I used is a personal mix of black, burnt sienna and ocre. The primer is available in Japan but I don't know if it's the case overseas. What I can recommend you is to find a primer for inside car parts. Hope it'll help!

Do you think it’s a good idea to just apply some metallic grey spray paint to the parts?

Hi, thanks for your question. Yes you can just apply a spray directly on the parts. But don't use a wash to weather them after. You may break them. Have a good build!
