Celebrities see themselves as the aristocracy. They think they’re kings and queens and, by extension, must magically know everything there is to know about how to think or feel about things.
Actuallly, celebrities’ status as celebrities quickly diminishes. Their celebrity status at the peak of their career is many times higher than what it is now. A whole generation now in their 20s may have trouble recognizing their name or recall watching with any enjoyment a movie they were in.

My son just cancelled a family trip to Disneyland over Christmas. Spewing that hatred from the "happiest place on earth" is going to pretty rich. Also, I thought Snow White was supposed to be pretty?
What makes it worse, is Disney didn't write any of these stories. They're mostly European folk tales, some going back a millennia. Disney, just made cartoons of them, which was fun, family entertainment. Recently however, they've been making live action versions, with the sole aim of removing every White person of European origin from their own stories.
The whole allure of the Hollywood celebrity was that they were supposed to be so different from the rest of us due to their riches and fame (and nothing more, really). But social media revealed that the celebrities mostly inhabit the bottom half of the intellectual bell curve..
They’re the clowns of the society. Supposed to entertain the citizen and got paid well if they did a really great entertaining and enjoyable job. They forgot about that and thought they’re parts of the King’s courts. May they rot due to their arrogance
The other allure was that "anyone" could become a star with luck and some work; basically a meth-addled short cut to the American Dream (in reality it was that literally anyone could always become a star by whoring themselves out enough). Not much different or less self-destructive than the 'hoop dreams' nonsense dangled before so many underachieving kids in school. Whores tend to be dumb, because they can't manage better options, and by dint of their profession, they are exceedingly compliant.
They think they have a monopoly for on-screen entertainment. Turns out that isn't true. Whoops! But, like Blackberry, they're doubling-down. Bold strategy, Cotton; let's see how that turns out for them!
As someone who enjoys conspiracy theories... it usually ends up being little more than basic pattern recognition that gets you to the core of an issue... an ability to disconnect emotionally helps (though I fail at that part a lot) What's the connection between celebrities who can't sell movie tickets... politicians who can't get your vote... and news media pundits who can't get ratings?
The WEF is the connection. Also it's not a theory, just a conspiracy. They are proud of it and talk about it constantly. Hell Klaus Schwab wrote two books ("The Great Reset" and "The Fourth Industrial Revolution" respectively) where he explained the whole disgusting plan, truly evil and dystopian reads both of them btw. I would unalive that man (in Minecraft) were i given the opportunity.
It's something how they naturally expect the worst from everyone else just due to their own entitlement and sociopathy. Its projection at its finest don't you think. I almost feel sorry for some of them to be honest, not being able to have normal relationships with most people (if with anyone or anything else at all). I say almost because a lot of them are only lonely and angry mostly due their own narcissism or otherwise manipulative traits/tendencies. People like that still deserve sympathy, of course. Media, commercials, paid spokespeople, endorsements, celebrities, unions, signs, posters, advertisements, not even relatives. NONE of them have influenced my vote. Ever. Only the candidate and said candidate’s policies have EVER affected me enough to vote for them. Period.
I find political ads infuriating, no matter who they're for. I hate them passionately and continually hope for the day that we'll follow Australia's example and have a campaigning blackout period. But studies have shown that lawn signs and political ads do almost nothing to affect voters. The one effect that political ads have is that a persistently negative ad campaign (so basically all of them) leads to suppression of voter turnout because things are made out to be so bad that people lose hope that their vote can do anything.

@@drengillespie “A surrogate activity is an activity that is directed toward an artificial goal that the individual pursues for the sake of the “fulfillment” that he gets from pursuing the goal, not because he needs to attain the goal itself. For instance, there is no practical motive for building enormous muscles, hitting a little ball into a hole or acquiring a complete series of postage stamps. Yet many people in our society devote themselves with passion to bodybuilding, golf or stamp-collecting. Some people are more “other-directed” than others, and therefore will more readily attach importance to a surrogate activity simply because the people around them treat it as important or because society tells them it is important. That is why some people get very serious about essentially trivial activities such as sports, or bridge, or chess, or arcane scholarly pursuits, whereas others who are more clear-sighted never see these things as anything but the surrogate activities that they are, and consequently never attach enough importance to them to satisfy their need for the power process in that way.” - Theodore J. Her talking about Catharsis is irritating. She doesn't know what catharsis is. Catharsis is when you, through fiction, explore uncomfortable situations in order to learn how to process and manage them for real life scenarios. Catharsis is when you watch the lead from Death of a Salesman work his entire life for something he never gets and then kill himself on the idea that the world will be better off without him so that you can understand the emotions that drive people to suicide. Catharsis is when you look at the pointless deaths of Romeo and Juliet and realize that pointless feuds lead to unfortunate effects that should never have happened. Catharsis is when you challenge yourself. Catharsis is not where you go on stage and play a role meant specifically to validate you.
The age of celebrity died years ago. The cinema had it's day & many are now preferring independent films, with great scripts, great actors & dedicated talented directors.

Back in "the day", Hollywood celebrities enjoyed a certain air of mystery ... we only saw them in movies, on TV or heard about them in the news ... so when one of them addressed the fans directly it was kind of a big deal. Today's celebrity is that crazy ex who keys your car, trashes your house, alienates all of your friends; but then chases you down the road screaming, "LOVE ME! LOVE ME! I NEED YOU TO LOVE ME!". . As to the recent spate of Kamala Harris' "celebrity endorsements" ... they might have been more effective if the celebrities in question weren't paid millions to parrot party talking points.
This! I was trying to find how to describe the difference between, say, Marilyn Monroe and Gal Gadot or Rachel Zegler and you hit the nail on the head.

I've said it about gaming and I'll say it again about Hollywood: You as the, producer and supplier of a product, cannot force the audience to like what you've created. You must instead make what they're asking you for. When it comes to leisure and entertainment, people would rather have nothing at all than a thing they don't want.
Really, who could have not seen this coming. These people should stop talking. They have ruined everything they touch. When we saw them and they just smiled they were ok. Most smart actors are the ones I don’t know their politics.
I’ve watched your channel for a while now. This is,by far, my favorite video because you pull down those concepts from the ivory tower and make a succinct counter argument.
you have masterly hit upon Hollywood’s confirmation bias or its tendency to listen more often to information that confirms their existing beliefs, tending to favor information that reinforces the things they already think or believe while screening out opposing viewpoints.
We know for a fact they ignored the companies they hired to tell them that the movie will flop or not because the audience would tell them the truth. The hired agitators hid the reports from management and only used reports from the left coast areas that said what they wanted and then wonder why they lost billions

I really hope that, one day, we finally find out what Rachel Zigler has on Bob Iger. There's no other reason that she hasn't been fired and blackballed from the industry.
I often find things like this interesting. Both Rachel Zegler and Amandla Stenberg are insecure attention seekers. They desperately want to be taken seriously. But they just can't stop themselves from being obnoxious. This is also true of Brie Larson. She is desperate to be taken seriously, but because she is so obnoxious, everyone has turned their backs on her. It was funny watching her get interviewed after The Marvels, and she looked like she was about to start crying because everyone hates her. That is going to happen to both Rachel Zegler and Amandla Stenberg, when it suddenly dawns on them that everyone hates them. Their self important egos are in for a very bad day, but the truth is, they deserve it.

He is a desperate attention seeker, but he comes across as a creepy pervert, and he has hit the point where nobody wants to talk to him, or listen to him, and he has started to behave himself as a result. We have all noticed the change in his behaviour, he has stopped being obnoxious, and he is actually making an effort to be likeable. Rachel Zegler, Amandla Stenburg, Brie Larson, Lily Singh, they are all on the same trajectory. Some more than others. That is why I said, their egos are in for a bad day, because sooner or later (probably sooner), they are going to notice everyone hates them, and they will learn their lesson at that point. I too, will be here for all of it my friend. If nothing else, it is just funny to watch a pervert get humbled.
It's almost as though films need to actually be interesting to behold, well-written and of high quality to get people into theaters, rather than leaning on celebrity influence. They need to be sold on a premise, a scene or a genre, rather than an IP or an actor. It's almost like...that's how movies used to work when they were the most popular entertainment medium on the planet, or something. Why, I'd go so far as to say that driving out the old guard in order to be hip and progressive was a bad idea.
Most would say self-aggrandizement and money, if they're being even the least bit honest about it. But it would likely be just another word salad of obfuscating buzz words, empty platitudes and gaslighting. You would sooner receive a straight answer from Kamala or Trump than from the likes of some Disney piss pot Zegler or Stenberg. Let alone from Iger or Kennedy.
Considering how awful Hollywood has been to their customers, why on earth Kamala thought we Americans would listen to them about ANYTHING? Celebs have shown that they are full of ungodliness and vitriol.
Politicians are impressed by Hollywood celebs so they think we will be too. That tells you a lot about the midwit talent vacuums that infest politics, but it's also because of the sheltered bubble they live and work in that divorces them from reality.
Imagine if Hollywood started using those millions to try to help the homeless in LA. They might even earn some goodwill back. Put your money where your mouth is or STFU you freaking hypocrits.

Actuallly, celebrities’ status as celebrities quickly diminishes. Their celebrity status at the peak of their career is many times higher than what it is now. A whole generation now in their 20s may have trouble recognizing their name or recall watching with any enjoyment a movie they were in.
Funny thing is, the aristocracy and royalty were held to high regard because the people believed they were chosen by God. The very concept they’ve been attacking non-stop for so long. 😂

Disney and the actress that plays Snow White clearly missed the memo that Beauty comes from within. ✌️🫶☮️
What makes it worse, is Disney didn't write any of these stories. They're mostly European folk tales, some going back a millennia. The whole allure of the Hollywood celebrity was that they were supposed to be so different from the rest of us due to their riches and fame (and nothing more, really).
But social media revealed that the celebrities mostly inhabit the bottom half of the intellectual bell curve..
EXACTLY💯👍
It’s a wonder they don’t need to be watered once a week and turned occasionally to face the light!
Not just the bottom half of the intellectual bell curve, but the moral bell curve as well, for a lot of them anyways.
The idea that average Americans gives a crap about the paid for political "opinions" of celebrities is the very definition of narcissism.

But studies have shown that lawn signs and political ads do almost nothing to affect voters. The one effect that political ads have is that a persistently negative ad campaign (so basically all of them) leads to suppression of voter turnout because things are made out to be so bad that people lose hope that their vote can do anything.

George Carlin called all this out years ago. We should all revisit that.
Look up “Surrogate activities” by Uncle Ted
That is why some people get very serious about essentially trivial activities such as sports, or bridge, or chess, or arcane scholarly pursuits, whereas others who are more clear-sighted never see these things as anything but the surrogate activities that they are, and consequently never attach enough importance to them to satisfy their need for the power process in that way.”
- Theodore J. Kaczynski, Industrial Society and Its Future
He was a genius but also r-worded in a fundamental way. That being his nihilistic narcissistic elitist reductionist nonsense like that little blurb you referenced which ignores Maslow's hierarchy of needs and the pursuit of self-actualization (and caused him to live like a poor hobo with nothing, suffer extreme social and psychological anxiety and misery his whole life, kill random innocents, and die by sewar slide in prison).
His so-called "clear-sightedness" was, in actuality, the epitome of short-sightedness. If he truly wanted to help the world as opposed to just rage against the machine he'd have looked inward instead of out, followed the Eightfold Path, and been of use to his friends and family (all of whom he disowned due to his erroneous unbalanced nihilistic extremist worldview).
He was right about a lot of things but also a totally insane idiot (and yes i do think most of his manifesto was decades ahead of its time and spot on, i just call the balls and the strikes).
Here's a much more useful and pertinent quote:
“Those who are most sensitive about "politically incorrect" terminology are not the average black ghetto-dweller, Asian immigrant, abused woman or disabled person, but a minority of activists, many of whom do not even belong to any "oppressed" group but come from privileged strata of society.” (

I honestly would like to hear a celebrity tell us what their definition of love is.
Rohypnol / NDA
Most would say self-aggrandizement and money, if they're being even the least bit honest about it. But it would likely be just another word salad of obfuscating buzz words, empty platitudes and gaslighting. You would sooner receive a straight answer from Kamala or Trump than from the likes of some Disney piss pot Zegler or Stenberg. Let alone from Iger or Kennedy.
They‘d probably all answer „Me“
I identify as a celebrity, now everyone needs to listen to me
“Genetic dead end” 💀
The Darwin Awards is a thing. 😏
@@zacharymcmillan2788 Indeed. And it has clearly become the most frequently bestowed award in all of human history. Thanks, Tik Tok!
Damn Disparu. You have made it on my very short “must watch” list.
weird ? 🤨🤨 WEIRD ! 🤨🤨
😂😂😂😂LOL
12:05 “we need to hear from artists now more than ever” ugh says who?? Celebs are so out of touch! They don’t struggle to make rent or buy groceries
Considering how awful Hollywood has been to their customers, why on earth Kamala thought we Americans would listen to them about ANYTHING?
Celebs have shown that they are full of ungodliness and vitriol.
its due to herd mentality combined with peer pressure and past precedent.
Politicians are impressed by Hollywood celebs so they think we will be too. That tells you a lot about the midwit talent vacuums that infest politics, but it's also because of the sheltered bubble they live and work in that divorces them from reality.
Even if we did need artists now more than ever, most celebrities aren't artists.
Here's hoping companies will stop using "A list" celebrities in their advertising and use those millions of dollars in a more useful manner...
RDJ goes brrrrrrrrrrr
Imagine if Hollywood started using those millions to try to help the homeless in LA. They might even earn some goodwill back. Put your money where your mouth is or STFU you freaking hypocrits.
Our politics have become such a shit show that ppl from the UK to Australia are laughing at Hollywood, AOC and Harris. Ffs.
