    i was so ignorant growing up about italian food, i just thought there was spaghetti, lasagna, and ravioli. This kind of pasta is incredible to eat

    Mario is an accomplished chef and a very good teacher. His books are instructive, as was the Molto Mario TV show. Eately is a great place to shop and eat, just keep your wallet stuffed.

    i wonder if the point of this show is for Mario to show off his skill, or to show the viewer how to make Italian-style dished at home? I would cook Italian-style food all the time if some of its basic ingredients - especially olive oil and parmesano reggiano - were less expensive. And you really cannot cook Italian-style food without them.
