Man I damn near drop tears watching this video.. It hits differently , cause i was in this position with no water tank Or generator . Good to see Detailers like you still incouraging the next.. Big Ups to You man ! Much love from Stockton Ca.
Respect i been in the game for awhile went from having full set ups to just buckets few chemicals and no vac still got the job done.and yes about 98% of customers offer they water and electric.i use to turn down but now since im going all electric i definitely will make use.Respect young man like i always say if you a true detailer u can get the Job done no matter what 🙏🏾🙏🏾💪🏾
This is good motivation. I just started my business and my first customers are friends and family. And they drop off cars at the self serve car wash for me to detail until i get my equipment set up 👌
Thanks for the motivation man. Just started my detailing business and I use the customers water and electricity to start as well. Sometimes I feel embarrassed to ask to use their power and water because I feel it’s unprofessional. But like you said. That’s not the right mindset to have we all got to start somewhere. My main problem right now is that I’m detailing out of a Subaru brz 😂 but I’m maintaining so far. Respect to you my brutha
Awesome. I'm happy you're not letting anything stop you. In my experience, most customers offer water and electricity. Many of them are shocked that I have electricity and water in my van.
Thanks for giving me justification! I've said it! I'm older, new career, no experience and no money so I'm starting and learning as I go! And doing it with very little given by my dad. Big hugs for this video!!
Thank you for the content, Im gathering info to start my very first mobile car wash and if all goes well upgrade to full mobile detailing. This helps out a lot I appreciate it.
That’s exact where I am now, Detailing out of the trunk of my Mustang on my days off. It’s tight but I have everything I need to get the job done.. 50’ hose and 100’ extension cord, green works electric pressure washer and shop vac, 2 buckets, drill brush, trash bags, and a sack of microfibers and HF steamer when I need it and all my chemicals, There’s is definitely no excuse if that’s what you really want to do
That’s exactly where I’m at right now I have a 50 foot garden hose with a pressure tip and a 50 foot extension cord one and a half gallon shop vac from Walmart some rags and some soap. Obviously I have wax and Detailing stuff because I wash my own car, but I went and gave one of my business cards to a company that already had a detailing company that comes out there and does it. I tried to beat the price and the lady asked me she says do you have your own water tank they bring their own I said no ma’am I’m just starting out Like literally just starting out that’s why I’m giving you a business card. I only have a four-door sedan a Hyundai sonata, so no I cannot carry a water tank she says well we are on well water and I really don’t think that’s good water to be spraying on your car, so basically in a nice way she was telling me no thanks because I didn’t have a water tank. I’m waiting to make enough money so I can buy my own converter that hooks into my cigarette lighter so all I have to really do is just use their water source I’m in a small town so that may be why I’m going to try to go to a bigger more wealthier town and see what the people say there, it’s just mind blowing that people think that you need to spend $30,000 to start a mobile detailing service. I look at it this way as long as it’s clean and it looks good and you’re professional and treat the customer fare then there should be no problem using their water source or their power source, especially when you’re just starting out
As far as growth, I recently upgraded to a Chevy Avalanche, more space, better storage, but the same equipment, still getting the job done. It works well for the work I have coming in, mostly I have monthly or Biweekly maintenance since I work offshore 7 day on / 7 days off. My situation is different from a lot of others more of side hustle than an actually business at the point, so I can't really speak too much on "business" growth or transitioning to full time detailing. But the Freedom to be home with the family every night and make my own schedule is still something I look forward to one day..
Man much respect and love brotha! 💯. I recently had some life situations occur. It set me back so now starting over. I definitely will be asking clients to use their source. Continue to Rock 💪💪👍. Any advice on a good gas powered washer

I struggle with asking to use water as well. When somebody books a service with you, how do you advertise you have to use their water
Just simply ask if there's is water and electricity available at the location.
