For Finnair, it’s not only LHR, but for the summer season at least AMS and MUC have been seeing the A350s and A330s and will see them until November. LPA, which begins in October will also see the A350s operating over the winter season!
Some more routes: Swiss ZRH-AGP (Occasional A330), ZRH-ATH (Occasional 777), Austrian VIE-DUS or FRA (Very occasional 777-200), Aer Lingus DUB-FAO or AGP (A330), TAP LIA-FNC (A330 neo). Also ITA A321 neo all has lie flat aisle access business class seats. It flies to Madrid, Barcelona, Athens, Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels, etc
Nice video, Charles :) A couple of points that may be useful for your viewers: - I found the in-flight food on Singapore Airlines within Europe to be pretty poor (I flew their old Copenhagen-Rome fifth freedom a while back). While they offered the excellent seat, full drinks selection and of course the same great crew, the food consisted of just a cold sandwich - which was poor even when compared to the likes of BA or Finnair on their intra-Europe flights. - While equipment swaps do happen, they can sometimes work in your favour. Example, I have Finnair booked for Feb - was originally an A321, but now up-rated to an A330. This puts Finnair back to the double daily widebody they had consistently pre-pandemic (out of the 6 flights or so per day). They also do at least one widebody flight per day on Amsterdam-Helsinki.

If the airline has a website for cargo-and many airlines do-the schedules shown there are dominated by wide-body, passenger equipment. It may be a better, though not an intuitive, place to look for lie-flat seats in aircraft.
I have found with Lufthansa on a Tuesday at around 10am, they fly a Boeing 787 Dreamliner between Frankfurt and Munich, just that one flight once a week.
That’s very interesting. Just had a look at a random Tuesday and although there wasn’t at 10am, one of the early afternoon flights was a 787. Good to know that’s somewhat regularly available!
Problem is with Europe is it's very small and even ones like London Moscow, presumably suspended at the moment,is only about 4 hours so you'd hardly have time to sleep on a flat seat!I suppose at the moment something like Keflavik to Istanbul,if they have such a flight, would be about the longest in Europe unless it uses the airport on the Asian side then it wouldn't count!
Nice video. You didn't mention the Ethiopian Airlines fifth freedom flights: ARN-OSL, CPH-VIE, MXP-ZRH or MAN-GVA. Also Air Europa operate two daily B787 dreamliners between Madrid and Barcelona and regular 787 flights from Madrid to Amsterdam.
@charlesontravels I don't think they offer much in the way of service on the intra-European sectors but you do get to sit in a proper business class seat and fly on a widebody.
I heard Tap Air Portugal sometimes fly Lisbon-Heathrow route with some A321LR that have lie flat seats but other than that I am not really sure... Also thanks for the video!
Yeah we just flew in an Iberia A330 Madrid to London. They didn't accept my business upgrade bid unfortunately, but it was still a nice flight as we booked the front seats in economy so had recline and loads of legroom. It was nice to stretch out and watch a movie on the IFE. One thing I found quite charming on Iberia was the Spanish music they play before take off and during landing!
The Turkish Airlines A321 Neo all have "business class seats" and not economy seats with a middle seat blocked in a 2-2 config but it is not a lie flat seat also talking of Turkish Airlines.. some of there A330s have angle flat seats not even lie flat seats
Sadly no mention of flights from Manchester. However, i am taking an Ethiopean flight from Manchester to Dubai in February which stops off at Geneva. Some years ago Cathay Pacific use to fly to HK from Manchester via Amsterdam. Sadly Cathay no longer fly from from Manchester.
Iberia are trialing their new A321XLR with the lie flat seats.... Also if you book on Iberia A350 in economy you can pay to select a seat in premium economy (if the business class fare is beyond reach...
