Hey loves! I picked up the Revlon ColorStay foundation - 440 Mahogany to see what results I get. I tried the 450 Mocha in my 1st Use video • 316| Revlon ColorStay ... and it was not the right color for me. This one is wayyyyy better. I like how the foundation feels on my skin, not heavy or cakey but very light and smooth. It evens out my skintone really well. It dries to a MATTE finish, which I love!
I set my foundation with the MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in the color Dark Deep
Both of the brushes i used in this video were a part of a complete brush kit by Sigma Beauty, (www.sigmabeauty...) but the brushes can be found separately as well.
The brush used in this video to apply the foundation was the Sigma Duo Fibre Brush F50 - www.sigmabeauty...
The brush used in this video to apply the setting powder was the Sigma Large Powder Brush F30 - www.sigmabeauty...

Once you blended it in, it looked nice but I think the issue is undertone. You have a reddish undertone, while this foundation had a olive undertone.
Agreed. Knowing your/the makeup undertone is half the battle.
Yea i think the seeing it before putting it on, during and after gives a nice touch to the woman who may be trying this out. Because when you first put it on it looks green. So seeing the whole process kinda lets them know it will warm up.
Hey love! Yes by the end of the day I did have color transfer on the neck of my sweater. I think its almost impossible to not have color transfer with foundation.
I use the same foundation and I have never loved another foundation more. It also really improved the condition of my face. The last foundation made me break out really bad and this one doesn't. It feels so light sometime I don't even remember I'm wearing foundation. This is definitely a staple for me.
It's considerably better than the first time you tried the color stay. This time around, if saw you only after putting it on (not before too) I would think it looks great. It doesn't match your original color, but it surprisingly does look natural still.
after u blended it in and put on powder it looked great!! looks like u found ur color
I agree with the others - it looked really good after it set. I think the Revlon Color Stay is a great formula for the money. My only issue with it is that I found it to transfer quite easily. I could never wear anything white with it like you did. I've heard others say that they did not have that problem, so I'm not quite sure why I did.
looks very natural. i tried the revlon colorstay & it broke me out something fierce
I didn't use a pressed powder. I also used the one for oily/combo skin. Your experience is actually what I've heard most people say. I don't know why it transfers with me. Could be my skin is just that much oilier?? I have no idea. I was disappointed bc I love the shade (I use Caramel) and of course the price is awesome.
Oh thats a good point. I dont have much white though.
That's a good match for your skin I think stay with that one. When you brought the bottle out first I thought "oh no! She's gonna be orange!!", but it actually blends in really well into your neck x
It looks really nice with the powder on top of it.
I love the mahogany! It melts into my skin like butter. It blends very well for my skin tone.
It's not too dark. It just doesn't match your undertone
Exactly!!
I bought the 450 & not pleased; will try 440. - looks good!
I absolutely love your channel we're around the same complexion and whatever foundations you use mostly always works for me thank you continue making videos.
Looking Good.... I'm switching over to colorstay
after you blend the foundation it began to warm up on your skin and with the setting powder it looks better, so I think you look good so that's just my opinion.
Jenell, you have beautiful eyes and eyebrows. Your brows don't appear very altered/contoured - which is fine of course. Are you anti-brow contouring because I believe it could only enhance your pretty eyes if you did. PLEASE don't take this the wrong way, I think you look great and are doing a great job!
Yep that is how Mahogany looked on me. It had a bluish/greyish undertone. I would mix it with Capuccino. Now I only wear capuccino alone and it looks much better. When you are able to find it I def think you should pick that color up!
After you got it blended. It looks good on camera. I'll admit, at first I was like "no" haha. But now its good. Warmed up on our face.
I really have no idea which shade would work for you bc Im not familar with the shades in this line. But I do love the MAC mineralized powder it really sets my makeup and matches my complexion well.
I have a hard time finding the right make-up for my skin color, which
appears we have the same skin tone. This was very helpfully....
It works for you, it appeared yellow when you applied it . However it blended well.
Looks awesome but I thought it wasn't a match at first but its gorgeous to me!!! Thanks for sharing!
Ill check it out. I love her channel. Thanks!
I agree it looks really nice once you set it
It's definitely better than the last one but it doesn't seem warm enough. I see a very slight green cast. Maybe it's just me. It looked great after you set it though. The powder clearly helped balance it out.
Haha, girl Im not taking it the wrong way. I dont get my brows done because they always try to make them too thin and I like them thick and bushy. Any suggestions?
I have the cappuccino color and formula for dry/sensitive skin& it's amazing. Fav drugstore foundation ever. Others never match me well.
This looks way better than the last shade! Gorg!
i think that the foundation has a bit of an olive tone whereas your skin has more of a red undertone, but once you blended it out and set it i think it looked really good
Thanks love I will try to figure this out. I dont know this stuff on my own.
Cant wait to meet you!
I think its looks really good...have u tried the loreal true match yet
Looks GREAT!!!!
This should be your shade.
It really can just be the camera that makes it look "not right"
Mornin hun.. Im loving that color. I was skeptical at first but once u blended it into ur skin I loved it.. It looked really natural!!!! Oh yea.. Good Mornin :)
You have a red undertone. When you first applied the foundation, it looked green but as you blended it out, it looked okay
yea i think this one really fits your skin even though you do have a red undertone and the foundation seems to have a more yellow undertone it seems to match your skintone nice. im planning on buying this foundation but i have no idea what color to buy it in. And i dont really know what my undertone is ? so yea.
It blended out ok. Revlon is a good drugstore foundation. I use 410 cappuccino. Stays in place for a long time.
I just recently tried this foundation and it is amazing! It really does hold up after a long day out. I thought I was the same complexion as you and I use the Mocha shade.
i love this on you i wasnt sure at first but once you blended it in spot on
It looks great once you blend it in. It looks natural. How is it with rubbing off? Does it really stay on or does it rub off on your clothes and on other people's clothes when you hug them?
YAY so glad you did this we have the same shade.
I just picked this up also....I really like it...and my skin is super oily, but it stayed dry.
I think the color suits your complextion well. Did you find the Cappuccino and tried it yet?
At first it looked too yellow but then it looked good. I have the opposite problem! I have more yellow undertones but my revlon colorstay foundation has more red undertones... I have much lighter skin than you though so I'm not sure if I can get a light one with yellow undertones that matches my skin? It doesn't look too bad though.
Thats a great suggestion! Ill try that as my 3rd attempt. Thanks for the suggestion!
Did you put a pressed powder on over the foundation? Because that could have been what was transferring, not the foundation itself. I used the ColorStay for Oily/Combo skin and I had no transfer problems. However I have not tried to the one for Normal/Dry skin.
I think you may also want to try the Cover girl Queen collection 3 in 1 all day flawless foundation. It is the BUSINESS and they have a better range of colors for us.
Man! Those brushes are AWESOME!
Looked great after it set.
Yea 450 was cray cray on me. thanks!
I like this color a lot. Looks nice on you.
This one is better! You look beautiful!
I've tried both shades as well. I'm going to give the mahogany another try. BTW you look fab!!!! Love your videos!
This is the best color match yet no doubt. If you post finished look pictures, wear white or near white clothing so we can see the same contrast please and thanks :) Very pretty natural look. Great job!
I brought the Mahagany and i love it.
U dont need foundation! Your skin is so nice!
Have fun learning.
yes!!! much better then the first one - very smooth, clear and natural looking. a question though - i noticed then when you did the dark and lovely review, you had a white high neck sweater.. did you notice any color transfer from your face/chin to the neck of your sweater?? i use bareminerals powder which is excellent but it smears soooooooooooooo bad - if i wear a white turtle neck, forget about it! LOL!! do this makeup actually "stay" as the name implies
it started off looking muddy, but blended in perfectly!
Lolo this is your color and I have the same foundation too and I love it!!!
This is your color. I have the same foundation and is love it!!!
Songbirddiva4life has a similar skintone to you and she uses the cappuccino. I have the same skin tone as well and I'm going to go buy both mahogany and cappuccino and see which one looks better.
You definitely need to go darker than the first color you chose the powder really fixed everything
i got this exact foundation. But it transferred so much. did that happen to you? I also have dry skin instead of oily but my store only went dark in oily skin foundation. does it really matter?
I love how it looks on you janelle
I didnt have much of it rub off on my white sweater but there was some transfer. But not much at all. :-)
I agree!
I love it !! Great match. I use revolt and I love this foundation
The 450 Mocha looked red in the bottle but went on too muddy. So this is one shade down. Looks wayyy better. Did you see what I looked like in the previous attempt?
Yup! My social links are in the description box.
It looks really good.
thanks love.
IT LOOK VERY NATURAL. I THINK THAT'S A GREAT COLOR FOR YOU. BE BLESS!
Did you put anything over the foundation or under it? I didn't see concealer or powder, etc.
It turned out good better then the other one
the application looked off but the results without the powder look great.
At first it looked greenish... but it looked great when you set it.
Love love it! I might have to try in my shade. Could you suggest a shade? And also would you say that Mac powder is worth the splurge? I went without wearing makeup for a while bc I was turning into a junkie Forreal lol and now I'm at a happy medium and figuring out the basics I want to incorporate!
Hey love!
I put the link to that video in the description box, if you visit that link you can check the description box of that video to see what I had on my face. cool?
Your look is really fresh
Its so hard to find your right shade in the Revlon Colorstay line. I bought one I still think it's a bit off I bought another and again I feel it's off. I think this shade looks good!
I had to stop using revlon colorstay because the color was all wrong on me. But it looked great in you
Hey, what blush and lipstick are you wearing in the video where your natural hair pattern is revealed?
I love this foundation on you. It looks perfect
Is mahogany your color match? Do you still use this foundation?
It looks fantastic!!!
So i had to buy.both
I can use the mocha it looks ok vry natural bt i guess it darkens over timE
So i jst bought the mahog hope this wrks better because i dnt plan on buyin anymore foundation. Ur beautiful by the way
I have cappuccino and I use my oval brush dupe and it 👀 amazing.
this is the 3rd video i watch on this foundation and i believe it drys quickly or something because there is spots that the foundation doesnt seem to cover, not a full coverage
Esly Fernandez it's full coverage. She just applied it with the wrong brush.
Esly Fernandez buildable.
o wow the makeup looked great. I'm just getting into makeup so there is lots to learn
thanks.
It looks better than in video 1!
Everyone raves about the MAC Mineralized Skin Finish. I am going to have to try this : ) great video by the way!
Looks green.
Flawless skin! Nice video hun!
Looks absolutely great!!
I have this foundation and I absolutely love it :) I have "younger skin" only a few blemishes and my color I have is caramel~ perfect :). I use a sponge. Can't really dab it on then blend.... have to blend as soon as applied because it dries fast for me , does it for you or anyone else who use this foundation?
Love it. I think it looks great!
We seem to have tha same skin tone but I'm havinq trouble choosinq tha right foundation. I tried Revlon Colorstay in Cappochino. It was way to light. So I'm leaninq towards either Mocha or Mahagony. I don't kno what my undertone is tho.
