Dude, I’ve been looking for months for this solution and just found Marius video this morning, 1st thing I thought of is how to do this. Awesome work. Every tool should come this way. I already chopped 90% of my tools cords to 4” and use them off a dedicated power cord attached to my dust collector hose. This is even better.
Yes, this is how I got onto it, the vacuum, because it's much easier to just plug the tool into the end of the vacuum hose. I was trying to make my own sander like the new design $500 ones, which is easily done. And then you realize most your tools could benefit from a vacuum. It's just like powered brushes on home vacuums, can plug and play different powered attachments. The thing I don't like here though, is the terminal style. I want to keep it in the same outlet config, so I can use it without the vacuum, or any extension cord lying around, outside, otherwise, I'm thinking you'd need cords with those plugs, then you are back to cords everywhere, lol. ... How are you finding that aspect?
How durable and stable are you finding the solid mount on the tool side over time? I’ve looked everywhere and you’re the only guy that’s figured this out so far.
At 3:30 Why did you use hot glue to mount the panel connector when there are holes for nuts and bolts or screws? At 3:55 Do NOT separate parts A, B and D before pushing the cable through these parts. ONLY when this has been done should you unscrew part D. That is why they are together within the packet. The metal spring around the yellow grommet is likely to be misaligned when reassembling the plug. 🤔🙄😖

Awesome...Thanks. I've been looking for a locking plug to do exactly this and couldn't find it...now I have.

Sorry for the late reply. They seem pretty durable. I use the tools weekly and still holding strong.
Thanks for sharing
So, what connectors are you using.

Tools run off of things called "batteries" nowadays.
Not all, plus it's a 5 year old video
