      @@pandabear1576 if they never worked on it in camp how would Francis know what is coming regardless of whether it is a normal combo coming from Joshua or not? If they did work on it in camp, Francis would have at least made it to round 3. The fact he didn't says it all. Not to mention him switching stances played right into Joshua's hands. Great breakdown. Ngannou over-reaching with the parry is a very common 'beginner' mistake. Once he became _worried_ about what was coming his way and not merely just aware of it, it was over. He's still done really well though. His resume is pretty damn good for a two fight novice pro lol. I'd like to see him fight Wilder tbh, I'm genuinely not sure who would win.

  • @jak3brap10
    @jak3brap10 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    It wasn’t the jabs. It was the feints and the set ups. Basically, his brain. He just knew what to do to set francis up and see francis holes in his game and had the ability to capitalise. Francis has major holes in his defence because of fighting in mma. His guard isn’t as tight as it needed to be and he constantly was trying to parry AJ’s shots and completely missing. Soon as francis switched too AJ dropped him because his defence was even more open than in orthodox. That was clearly a trigger for AJ to throw a straight right.
    I like Dewey cooler but the fact that francis pretty much only used his right hand a few times which is his biggest weapon is strange. He pretty much has resorted to only using his left hook which Joshua read all day long. Even the overuse of the parry is something they should have ironed out training for boxing. Using his orthodox defence whilst in southpaw should have been a big reason to never use that stance.
    AJ is just too experienced and had the tools to hurt francis and exploit his weaknesses and holes in his defence in the way that fury couldn’t. Don’t think anyone at heavyweight could have done that as efficiently as AJ other than maybe zhang because of his power. Parker maybe because he’s developed a lot and is a smart boxer but francis wouldn’t have been stopped as quick, Usyk would have taken longer to hurt francis too, Fury couldn’t do it. AJ was literally THE worst opponent francis could have fought in boxing. Great performance but respect to ngannou.

    Ngannou took this fight too soon. Had success against Fury and became overconfident. In the face off, Ngannou thought he would knock Joshua out early. He kept talking about knock out and Joshua’s chin. I think if he did a couple more months of sparring, he could have fared better

    • @showbread9366
      @showbread9366 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      lol took the fight too soon. He’s 37 he has no boxing ability to be in there with any pro boxer. Fury likely barely trained or took him seriously. Styles make fights & that was a fluke. He didn’t beat fury he knocked him down. Do you know how to score? He made $30 in 2 boxing matches. Less than $4 mill his entire mma career. He had to take the very next opportunity. You won’t see him box again. Trying to switch stance give me a break. You have to be Terrence Crawford ability to pull that off in professional boxing. MMA fans are brain dead morons. There’s no kicking or wrestling to save you in boxing. If you don’t have hands, you will get exposed very quickly.
