I believe some software, like FL studio, artificially move everything 1 octave up or down. Open the file in a "neutral" tool (like MIDIEditor) to check if its the correct octave. Otherwise, it takes 10 seconds to transpose everything by 1 octave anyways.
I mean here's an. Example There's Semitones in a Soundfont in DPCM and there's only Negative Numbers and Only can Note go deep and I want it To Go the Opposite and I mean Above 0.00 Semitones...Understand?
@famistudio oh im sorry. I meant 12 different samples. One for each note in an octave. Is this possible? Or can I only use 5 unique samples and then I have pitch shift them?
@@charrakter you can use 12. But I don't have a nice excel spreadsheet for the tuning of those. You'll have to figure it out. Developers back in the days were trying to save as much ROM space as possible. It was incredibly expensive in the 80s. So they usually stuck with 5
@@charrakter I'm no expert on this, but referring to the chart at the bottom of this page (famistudio.org/doc/dpcm/) I see that you can pitch samples by 1 or 2 octaves. So you could cover 3 full octaves with 12 samples. Keep in mind these are approximations, things will be slightly out of tune, that's how the NES/Famicom worked.
Quel précision.. Je suis bluffé par la qualité des vidéos, sans parler du logiciel lui même..
Thank you for this! I'm recently getting back into music making with FamiStudio. This will come in handy.
Best of luck, come see us on Discord if you have questions.
@@famistudio Oh.. you have a discord now? I didn't know.
I got a problem with the midi file input. The Midi looks like it's 1 octave higher than it's originally is.

@@famistudio Wow that was fast thanks!

Question : how do I make the semitone higher because normally goes deep.
@jeremymoreira-dn5us can you explain a bit more? I'm not sure I understand the question

I want to be able to import instruments from other projects. Btw I'm on mobile
is it possible to use let's say 12 different for every note in an octave? is it gonna be in tune in this case?
@@charrakter I'm not sure what you mean. 12 different what?

@@famistudio oh i see. may i ask something else? If I create 12 unique samples, will I have to tune them? Wont they automaticaly all be in tune?
