RENEE GEYER Stares and Whispers RESTORED

I am posting this on Australia Day, 2020 - January 26 and it is a restoration of the original clip made for Renee Geyer's 1977 hit 'Stares & Whispers'. I had never seen this before finding some kind soul had posted it on youtube. It was screened on a Saturday morning music program called Sounds - also known as Sounds Unlimited. The entire clip was not uploaded, and the audio was less than stellar, so i have restriped the clip and topped and tailed with with some stills of the beautiful Ms Geyer - my favourite Aussie singer and I reckon the greatest vocalist this country ever produced. 'Stares & Whispers' and the LP 'Moving Along' could have both been hits in America, were it not the stubbornness of the vocalist who would not agree to the record company's directive that the 7 inch single be issued in record stores without her picture on the cover, as they thought she sounded like a black artist, and that her face would not match the voice! The problem was also the limited notions of genre and image back in 1977. But that is all history, and Renee still went on to be recognised in the Australian record industry's illustrious Hall Of Fame.
