Far away from Kolkata at a place near Pakistan border, Rabindrasangeet gives me enormous pleasure and I recollect my old days in Kolkata, its hustle-bustle, Rabindrasadan, Sealdah and Howrah railway station.
I recall perhaps in 1963 Hemanta Mukherjee appeared at our music festivities at Jadavpur Engineering. Nothing fancy, just a white full sleeve shirt. Music started at about mid night, and we were transported. I witnessed the Master.
