Best style and color I’ve seen in a long time. She’s better than any of those old gothic artists she spoke of.
Not the kind of work I'm drawn to, but I appreciate her thoughtfulness . I know some painters use photoshop to compose paintings, but it never worked for me. Too many choices, too easy to radically alter the picture. So good on her that she has made it work for her. Another artist who studied in Italy and mentioned Giotto as having a major influence is Walton Ford, a completely different type of artist. Funny how that works. One artist I was surprised she didn't mention is Morandi who shared a similar taste for quiet muted colors. I think he would approve of her paintings.
Kayoon's paintings really give you a sense of calm and nostalgia. Beautiful!
I really enjoyed this interview. What an inspiring artist. She explained her artistic process very well. Thank you for sharing, Ms. Anderson.
I think her work is stunning as she captures serenity and facial likeness of her subjects.
I'm so happy I stumbled upon this video, Kayoon's work is super inspiring (I also love her voice) and seeing a bit of the process is crucial to understand what she means. Love!
Fascinating to hear about the artist's practice.
Thank you for sharing! I love how she works! Never thought about all the thought that can be put into a painting. Her preparations and process is very inspiring. It gives the colors and the energy in her work a frame through her linear thoughtform.
Thank you sharing your personal thoughts in depth about your painting experiences. I really enjoyed listening to you!
Fascinating. Thank you for sharing this, beautifully produced. I love Kayoon's approach, and enjoyed learning about it directly like this

What projector do you use please Kayoon?
Overall nicely produced but why oh why don´t you show the artwork longer????? It´s absurd, most pictures are shown for less than a second - why would you do that?
