Lol,if you think these small cute horse's are beautiful and majestic, look up 'Frederic The Great' you will NOT be disappointed, I promise. Don't get me wrong, th Icelandic horse's are beautiful too,but no horse compares to.... just GO look him up!!
Would love to see the horses in their natural habit. I had two when I was younger. One of them, a mare, came from Iceland. Her name was Perla and she came from Stokkseyri. She had one foal here in Sweden. My other were born in my country and named Bliki. Loved them both and the breed is still my dream horse! 🖤🖤🖤🖤
When I was little I saw a magazine photo of some random kids riding horses on the streets. No saddles just like that. I envied them so much. I imagined how lucky they are, just being able to grab a pony and ride it whenever....Also, that lady looks like slightly older and wider Jennifer Lawrence...
These are my favorite horses and will be my favorite horses forever. Me and my friend used to lease two of them, a bay gelding named Squirrel and a grullo mare named Zora. Squirrel is of course not an Icelandic name, but I think Zora is?
My husband and I visited Iceland a few years back. We stayed at a horse farm for a couple nights. We found out that the horses there were raised for horse meat. We were shocked!!
At 5.57: The rider on the black horse isn't able to stay close to the saddle during trott - probably he has only ridden Icelandics going tjöld/Tölt from the very beginning. Although he is a tournament rider his back remained stiff which is of course uncomfortable for the poor horse especially when the rider's weight is high.
I might go to Iceland and buy me 2 to import to my peaceful ranch in Transylvania, romania, together with my semi greu romanesc horses and few fraisians.
Please leave the horses free. why is there an indurtry about beautiful animals. Leave them free donot train them for these non use wyas of walking or troting. Let them bread and be free the horse one of the most magnificence animals on earth. in such untouched environment. Leave them free and protect them. human can not stop on the shows making on everything. so is the money making with the most noble animal on earth.
Sandra N Lembo Santamarina I won’t comment on the spelling and grammar as I’m guessing that English isn’t your first language...but the Icelandic Horses have been domesticated for thousands of years. As much as I love seeing any horse in a natural environment, there is something about the bond that a horse and human can have that deserves to be acknowledged and appreciated. Yes, there are plenty who abuse that power and/or are only using the horses for money, but there are just as many who truly thrive on the horse and human bond. The organization that is being discussed here is trying to show people the beauty and talents of this unique and wonderful breed of horse which is admirable. Also, the Icelandic Horses’ ‘extra’ gaits are not man made. They are gaits that the horse has naturally. I hope this was able to clear a few things up for you 🙂 Of course, there is nothing wrong with appreciating the beauty of these horses in their natural environment, but there is also nothing wrong with appreciating their beauty in a domesticated setting.
@@meganschultz9666 Actually, YOU'RE (spelling) wrong. It's not stupid, it's preserving this breed. Returning horses could be disease carriers and decimate the population. Use a portion of your tiny brain next time you write comment and you won't look like such an idiot.

This is a domestic breed.
Capitalism gone wrong :(
It's so stupid that they can't go back
No, they could import illnesses into the island
@@carmenreggediesch4556 still stupid and it said they are fully healthy and don't need shots or vacs. So actually your wrong and it's still stupid
