@@PlagueDrLiza Dude/Gurl/whatever-in-between, in Beowulf's Story Mode he even says "Yare Yare Daze...", albeit in a very different tone from Jotaro at the TV's biography (which is narrated by JoJonarrator and Capcom!Oldseph, Tohru Ohkawa).
"Yare Yare Daze" is just a Japanese expression that is difficult to translate correctly (sort of...)

(Former) Lab Zero are huge anime fans, and couldn't pass this chance up, given that ASW published their game even on retail format in Japan.
It took years (and many gacha salt in SGM) to being able to get the JP voices in Steam...
Something worth mentioning is in order to unlock the Jotaro skin you have to finish 25 matches with Big Band's "ORA ORA" super.
This was unfortunately removed after the Season 1 Pass was announced

Previously, you had to perform / win 25 or 26 times with a special technique in order to get the Jotaro coloring.

I've never seen a SkullGirls game before except for a short video about a reference to the ora ora. But damn, I love the animation of the game. The way that music man lets out smoke after the ora ora special, or the ways that Egyptian goddess girl stands up with her skeleton before the rest of her body. Those characters exude too much personality from just their animations.

When creating the video, I planned to divide it into two parts ("references in which I am sure" and "in which there are not"). There was no separation. Therefore, I think about the gods as a possible JoJo reference. And if you read the description, then I described in more detail why I think so.
@@PlagueDrLiza In a way, it also kind of references JoJo's iteration of Anubis (the "Whoever holds it will be manipulated" Sword Stand) and JoJo's iteration of Horus (Stand that Owned by Petshop the Eagle)

Eliza's "Osiris Spiral" is a different move, where her main weapon twirls around her body as it gradually reveals Sehkmet. The one showcased at 6:20 is actually called "Butcher's Blade", where Sehkmet leaves Eliza's body to attack as shown.

It's insane how much influence Dio had in a ton of games I like, Sakuya from Touhou, Zephyr from Castlevania, and Skullgirls in general. Probably there's more that I'm not remembering at this moment

8:21 The attacks named after the gods might also be references to Hol Horse, Hol + Boingo, and Polnareff.
Hol Horse has a special where J. Geil comes up from the ground under the opponent, Hol + Boingo has a super where a car crosses the screen and hits the opponent, and Polnareff has a special where Silver Chariot dives toward the opponent from the top of the arena.

I have a friend with a potato pc that got Skullgirls, but his pc cant run it.
He is also tired of me saying that JoJo is the best anime.

I get mad at people who say that JoJo is the best anime because there is something better. For example Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star). Great plot and characters (not without flaws). It is interesting not only to read the manga, but also to watch the anime, because quite a few moments suitable for the plot have been added to it. Also, many interesting games in different genres were released on this manga/anime.
