Will leave stocking fillers until Dec and might buy one or two more presents but other than that I don’t have to worry about it and I’ve also been able to stick to well under the budget as I’ve found a lot more sales this year. Those are all great gifts! I heard the same news about shortages, glad I’m not the only one :) I finished shopping for my 3 and 5 year old in September. They both have birthdays close to Christmas, so it was nice to have it all done and now I can just focus on enjoying the season. (I also heard that there may be turkey and cranberry shortages this year, so I already have those items in my freezer)
I did the same thing, I started in August and finished in October. I was so glad I did this as early as I did. Now I can just sit back and breath lightly knowing that I won't have the stress of buying and making sure that it all arrived on time.
We finished up our shopping for our boys! Just having stocking stuffers left which is my favorite! Would love to see what ideas you have! My problem is I get excited so I have to keep the gifts a secret for 2 months. Going to be torture for sure!

First time coming across your channel love your intro and disclosure on doing what you can your kids will be happy either way mama of seven here and I’ve learned over the years some Christmases are smaller than others every year they are happy and excited and grateful.
My 4 year old is OBSESSED with Calico Critters. We have so much stuff for them. The little pieces can be annoying. But she keeps them out away pretty well.
With the calico critters they actually have baby sets where you can buy the actual little babies it normally comes with a boy and girl and you could choose which one to give her depending on what you're having
I always shop early i don't buy alot since they have soo many aunties and grandparents, I miss my kiddos being so young my older kids are in their double digits so a video game and money are what is on their wish list

I started my Christmas shopping in August 😅 I'm half done already! I read that there's a big shortage of manufacture workers, so less products are being produced (mainly toys it seems). And speaking of shipping containers, a freighter ship off the coast of my island caught fire a couple weeks ago and over 100 shipping containers worth of product fell into the ocean 😔
I’m glad you got so much done already! 🤗 I have read the same thing. Less manufacturers, less truck drivers, less items in the stores. That’s so awful for those products in the ocean! It sounds like it’s all a mess for sure!

It's ALL OVER THE NEWS to get gifts now for all the reasons you stated. The President of UPS even warned people to shop early. I love my family and they know it all year, but I love giving gifts at Christmas time. Especially to my 8-year old granddaughter. I am finished buying her gifts. I got things we can do together as a family like crafts and the game HEADBANDS and a few DVD s. I'm happy and don't care who thinks what. Do what makes you happy ☺ Being early is smart and cuts down on stressing later.

we got several toys now 3 weeks later they are on sale 50 pounds off one toy alone.so all had to be returned and purchased again at the discounted price

We cellebrate sinterklaas on 5th of december in the netherlands and my son is turning 1 on 8th of december and christmas 25th and 26th of december so everything is close together. I already have everything for those days. If I run into things on a discount I buy it like to save some money and spread the costs for those days and dont have to get everything all at once 👍🏻 and I love the Hunt for the same things but cheaper 😁

I use to do the same thing i still try to get the same amount but since they are getting older it is to hard to do that i got girls 14 11 6 so yeah that changes for sure...... i do try to send the same amount. i will set a budget of like 300 a kid or a little less i use to not count clothes now i have to with having one 14
Yes! As they get older that will change for me as well. :) this is just as they are so little… so they can each open the same amount because they don’t understand yet… we always take turns opening one after another so this way it’s even… but when they get older if one wants an expensive video game and one just wants a bunch of clothes or smaller items then it will different. 🤗
I wanted to buy just one! But I couldn’t find that brand that just had one. They only had a packs of 5 on Amazon at the time and it was cheap so I just went with that ☺️

We weren't going to find out but I'm due just a couple days before Christmas and my family likes to prepare things ahead of time and buy gift specifically for a person not just like gender neutral everything so we decided to at least give them that much information and not tell them the name!
The last 2-3 years I had shopped last minute and decided that this year I wanted to start early and have since February. I have heard about that as well through social media and I don't really pay too much attention to the news that much anymore only sometimes. I've also scored lots of deals online and in store so I'm pretty happy this year lol Thankfully though I'll be done within this month for the kids. I only decided to wait for my husband on a few things like electronics because I'm hoping for a Black Friday deal lol so 🤞🏻🤞🏻 but anywaaay haha great video!! 😊

We only just started ours, and I regret it massively but we are doing okay 😭 I always say we will start in August but it is impossible as we have so much to pay out for.
Educational books make for really nice gifts if you ask me, they may not be as cool as most toys and gadgets but they offer contribution to your child's learning, literature and imagination while young, and you can even have it tailor made into their own *personalised childrens books* to make it more special

I literally start my shopping in June. I have a 2 year old daughter 6 year old boy and 15 year old daughter🙈 my partner has 6 grandchildren, I've 3 nephews&a niece. I wouldn't be able to cope if I didn't start early my sons bday is Nov and my youngest daughter is Feb❤❤

I’d quickly reevaluate the keeping it exactly even thing before they get old enough to even notice. Just one mom to another… life doesn’t work that way, gifting isn’t an even and you are setting yourself up for struggles later.
I used to go that way .even amounts/sizes AND then i switched to prices i would give a limit amount to each kid But i would end up with random items just to make the cut sooooo i decided on a number .3gifts they WANT doesnt matter price or size i just let them pick but 3each
I don’t mean to be rude or offend you but What a lot of plastic! 🙄 You could buy secondhand and think of the future of the planet and your children’s futures.

I use to do the same thing i still try to get the same amount but since they are getting older it is to hard to do that i got girls 14 11 6 so yeah that changes
for sure...... i do try to send the same amount. i will set a budget of like 300 a kid or a little less i use to not count clothes now i have to with having one 14
Yes! As they get older that will change for me as well. :) this is just as they are so little… so they can each open the same amount because they don’t understand yet… we always take turns opening one after another so this way it’s even… but when they get older if one wants an expensive video game and one just wants a bunch of clothes or smaller items then it will different. 🤗

I wanted to buy just one! But I couldn’t find that brand that just had one. They only had a packs of 5 on Amazon at the time and it was cheap so I just went with that ☺️

I love that you already went shopping and posted this, I too completed all my Christmas shopping and October and I also have a daughter who's four and a son who is currently two but going to be three right before Christmas. I'm also currently pregnant with my third so I love seeing the similarities between us!

We weren't going to find out but I'm due just a couple days before Christmas and my family likes to prepare things ahead of time and buy gift specifically for a person not just like gender neutral everything so we decided to at least give them that much information and not tell them the name!
The last 2-3 years I had shopped last minute and decided that this year I wanted to start early and have since February. I have heard about that as well through social media and I don't really pay too much attention to the news that much anymore only sometimes. I've also scored lots of deals online and in store so I'm pretty happy this year lol Thankfully though I'll be done within this month for the kids. I only decided to wait for my husband on a few things like electronics because I'm hoping for a Black Friday deal lol so 🤞🏻🤞🏻 but anywaaay haha great video!! 😊

I think the unicorn that skates on its own is the My little Pony sing and skate one! My 3 year old has asked for it too but I don't think she'll be getting it as I'm just about done shopping, I'm hoping she'll be so excited with her other gifts come Xmas day she won't realise

Educational books make for really nice gifts if you ask me, they may not be as cool as most toys and gadgets but they offer contribution to your child's learning, literature and imagination while young, and you can even have it tailor made into their own *personalised childrens books* to make it more special

Yes girl I am done and saved so much money. Walmart and target had up to 80%. I only spent $219 out of pocket should have paid over $500.

I’d quickly reevaluate the keeping it exactly even thing before they get old enough to even notice. Just one mom to another… life doesn’t work that way, gifting isn’t an even and you are setting yourself up for struggles later.
I used to go that way .even amounts/sizes AND then i switched to prices i would give a limit amount to each kid But i would end up with random items just to make the cut sooooo i decided on a number .3gifts they WANT doesnt matter price or size i just let them pick but 3each
People buying up everything now is probably what will create the shortages.
