Unfortunately we can’t put an exact date on it because of the pandemic and things have been heavily delayed so I don’t think we’ll see Mad Bess back out until early 2022 now. We will have an TH-cam video update on her overhaul coming out when we are allowed back at the railway so watch this space!
Ярослав Мудрый Bayhurst which you see most in this video was built by Severn Lamb in 2003 and re-engineered by Alan Keef Ltd in 2012. It is approx 15ft long by 3ft wide and 5ft in height. It has a 3.3 litre Kubota diesel engine in it rated at 60bhp and is coupled to a PS760 powershift transmission. Maximum speed is 21mph.
Thank you. What your brake system? Saw a vidio of the sleeves brake line(?) at the ends of the locomotive. Could you remove the video review of this locomotive, the location of the diesel engine, the transmission, the location of the knobs and controls in the cockpit.
All of our trains use a single pipe air brake system. The hoses you see at each end of the locomotive/carriages are the air lines to supply air through the entire length of the train. We have a video we have already filmed showing the locomotive in closer detail and this will hopefully be published soon so watch out for it in the near future!
That is the same system as well as on the big railroad, a brake of a vestingauz is used? Why it was required to do it, there isn't enough locomotive brake? Or on the line there are big biases?
Yes it is a very similar system to what is used on freight trains in the U.K. The locomotive itself will stop the rest of the train eventually using its own brakes but not quick enough in an emergency so the air brake pipe system is used to make the brakes work on all vehicles. Also it is a failsafe system that should the train ever break apart for any reason the brakes will apply on all vehicles and bring everything to a stop.
Wow, I can’t believe that train was so busy! Packed
I love this railway, It is my local too, glad to see Mad Bess is back!
This is fantastic I love it the Ruislip Lido Railway congrats on your success so far. Do you know when Mad Bess will be back?

The only narrow gauge railway what works to this da- it was 5 years ago
And what would be to happen if the token got lost?
Which produced this locomotive? What are its characteristics(power, weight, engine type, transmission type, speed, power, dimensions)?

Who would have thought that in Europe they employ giants to conduct their trains.
What if both train brokw down at the same time how will the token system work then
Где выпускается данный тепловоз? Каковы его характеристики(мощность, масса, тип двигателя, тип передачи, скорость, сила тяги, габаритные размеры)?
