I am on dog #5 and have loved each and every one of them. I am 85 and as long as I live there will be a dog in my household. Each dog was a rescue, each was different, and each was special.
I had to put my Ellie girl down two weeks ago. She was a rescue from the streets and was the sweetest dog ever. Will miss your hugs and face smooshes. RIP baby girl and run free until we meet again.

It's been one year today since Hubs and I gave our baby girl, GiGi, her wings. At 18-yrs old, the dementia was taking over her mind and we couldn't let the most intelligent dog we've ever known, suffer the confusion and stress it was causing her. This song still hits hard a year later. As much as we wish our beloved furbaby could live as long as we did, we wouldn't know what unconditional love until we looked back and saw how much she did for us...expecting nothing in return. Listening to this atm. I lost my sister, Ashley, she’s a 14 y/o golden retriever, 2 days ago. Never felt pain this painful in my whole life. I’ve been with her more than half of my life now. She came into my life when I was 8 and now just before I turn 23, she left me. Her last moments was her just staring to me as i cry hysterically before she breathed her last breath. This song is bringing me to tears :( I had my cat when I was 1 and she died in 2017, I was 17 and she was 16. I don’t know life without her and I miss her so much...it’s like a part of my heart has gone. Although I have a dog now who I absolutely love, he will never replace her and our amazing memories. She used to wait at the bottom of the street for me to come home from school, she was there through the hard times and good times. None of my friends understand how i'm feeling and think "he's just a rat.." No, he really wasn't. that rat taught me how rats really are. how much a rat can feel, just as us humans do. He hated it, but he'd let me pet him and he'd fall asleep. A couple of days ago his eye was messed up and he ended up with a respiratory infection. I was holding him telling him it was okay for him to pass 😭😭😭. He took his final last breath on me 😭

I lost my best friend in a terrible accident a couple years back. It was my fault....she was always there when I came home and licked my tears away. When I lost my dad on my birthday... She growled me out of bed and forced me to play. She was always there....and I was not when she needed me the most. I destroyed my car and apartment in a blind rage when I saw her little body. This song is everything I can't articulate. Lost my girl Lacey on a few days ago on March 1st. She was the second dog I've ever owned. Her buddy Reno passed away 2 years ago. Had them both for 11yrs since puppies. Out of the pair, she was my baby girl. Always cuddled, wanted to curl up close, lay on my lap, or lay across me as I watched a movie and be held. I knew the time was close as I watched her getting older. I would help her up the stairs at bedtime. The emptiness of not having her after all these years is indescribable. But I'm glad she was my dog. I will miss her Sweet and quiet nature. Miss seeing her on the stairs. I'm glad she has reunited with her buddy again. Thank you for this song. My furry companion of 15 years passed away yesterday. She had a form of kidney cancer and one minute she was fine and then it all hit rock bottom. I just feel so weary and things are not the same without her. She was a short haired 7 toed feline named Paws for her big paws who did some of the craziest things and was so affectionate. No one will replace her or come close to who she was. I'm at a loss for words for my loss as I do not know how to act now. This song is helpful abd beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
I lost my beloved cat today and had him for 9 years, best Christmas present I could have asked for. Wish I could have him back in my arms, just curl up and never let him go. Sweetest tuxedo in the world, never knew a stranger, lay on top of me when I was sick, give me kitty kisses when asked for it, and now I have lost my whole world. I think he sent me another tux this very day to help heal me. A stray that is similar to him (more white than my baby boy) showed up on my porch and was very sweet and gentle, but he still isn't my baby. It helped a little to cope. But the water work starts all over when I go back inside and it's a big void, and just so lonely. I really hope I will see him and we cross that Rainbow Bridge together. Thanks for the song!

I have a similar story, had mine at 9 years old for 18 years, and she died when I was 27! so sad but I knew it was coming so I prepared for it months before and it made it so much easier :( I miss her everyday but I know she is not in pain anymore! I would have been shocked and horrified if she just died suddenly without any warning, so I feel very thankful for the way it happened, she was truly the love of my life.

My cat died today and I've been crying all day long. My heart is in pieces right now.
It's been one year today since Hubs and I gave our baby girl, GiGi, her wings. At 18-yrs old, the dementia was taking over her mind and we couldn't let the most intelligent dog we've ever known, suffer the confusion and stress it was causing her. This song still hits hard a year later. As much as we wish our beloved furbaby could live as long as we did, we wouldn't know what unconditional love until we looked back and saw how much she did for us...expecting nothing in return.

Listening to this atm. I lost my sister, Ashley, she’s a 14 y/o golden retriever, 2 days ago. Never felt pain this painful in my whole life. I’ve been with her more than half of my life now. She came into my life when I was 8 and now just before I turn 23, she left me. Her last moments was her just staring to me as i cry hysterically before she breathed her last breath. She will always be part of who I am.

I had my cat when I was 1 and she died in 2017, I was 17 and she was 16. I don’t know life without her and I miss her so much...it’s like a part of my heart has gone. Although I have a dog now who I absolutely love, he will never replace her and our amazing memories. She used to wait at the bottom of the street for me to come home from school, she was there through the hard times and good times. A few days before she passed away I knew it was coming because she wasn’t herself but when she died I held her in my arms and was crying hysterically and kept saying ‘wake up, please wake up, don’t leave me’ :(

I'm so sorry. I had to put down my rat, Teddy, a few months ago and it still hurts. I feel like a murderer even though I know he was suffering and nothing could have helped. None of my friends understand how i'm feeling and think "he's just a rat.." No, he really wasn't. that rat taught me how rats really are. how much a rat can feel, just as us humans do. I miss you teddy. I hope me replying to this six months after your amazing ratties' passing doesn't make you feel bad and bring up bad memories, for that is not my intention. i'm very sorry.

I'm sorry for your loss. My hamster passed away last night. His name is Callisto. He used to bite, but I was always there. He started to accept touch. He had an eye infection. He hated it, but he'd let me pet him and he'd fall asleep. A couple of days ago his eye was messed up and he ended up with a respiratory infection. I was holding him telling him it was okay for him to pass 😭😭😭. He took his final last breath on me 😭

Just lost my cockatiel and sobbed while watching this. I’m alone at home nearly 24/7 and we talked to each other every five minutes or so. He was more like an actual family member because I knew what every sound he made meant and he understand about 40 words. He was my reason for getting out of bed and trying to get through another difficult day. I’ve hardly left my room since he died. I can’t be in the room where we were together because it just breaks my heart. I haven’t even taken his cage down yet. Just put something over it with flowers. Oreo was the light of my every morning & my pillow & love bug at night🕊💞Now what am I going too do since he’s gone?

I lost my best friend in a terrible accident a couple years back. It was my fault....she was always there when I came home and licked my tears away. When I lost my dad on my birthday... She growled me out of bed and forced me to play. She was always there....and I was not when she needed me the most. I destroyed my car and apartment in a blind rage when I saw her little body. Had them both for 11yrs since puppies. Out of the pair, she was my baby girl. Always cuddled, wanted to curl up close, lay on my lap, or lay across me as I watched a movie and be held. I knew the time was close as I watched her getting older. I would help her up the stairs at bedtime. The emptiness of not having her after all these years is indescribable. But I'm glad she was my dog. I will miss her Sweet and quiet nature. Miss seeing her on the stairs. I'm glad she has reunited with her buddy again. Thank you for this song. My furry companion of 15 years passed away yesterday. She had a form of kidney cancer and one minute she was fine and then it all hit rock bottom. I just feel so weary and things are not the same without her. She was a short haired 7 toed feline named Paws for her big paws who did some of the craziest things and was so affectionate. I lost my beloved cat today and had him for 9 years, best Christmas present I could have asked for. Wish I could have him back in my arms, just curl up and never let him go. Sweetest tuxedo in the world, never knew a stranger, lay on top of me when I was sick, give me kitty kisses when asked for it, and now I have lost my whole world. I think he sent me another tux this very day to help heal me. A stray that is similar to him (more white than my baby boy) showed up on my porch and was very sweet and gentle, but he still isn't my baby. It helped a little to cope. But the water work starts all over when I go back inside and it's a big void, and just so lonely. I really hope I will see him and we cross that Rainbow Bridge together. Thanks for the song!

I have a similar story, had mine at 9 years old for 18 years, and she died when I was 27! so sad but I knew it was coming so I prepared for it months before and it made it so much easier :( I miss her everyday but I know she is not in pain anymore! I would have been shocked and horrified if she just died suddenly without any warning, so I feel very thankful for the way it happened, she was truly the love of my life.

@@sadiepandi2029 my boy was named Buster Brown too. Cancer took him much too young. It’s been 2.5 years but I miss him every day. I have other dogs and I love them to death but they don’t fill the hole that Buster left. ❤️

My Angel Patches kitty came into our lives after being left behind by a neighbor at 7 months old. She had health issues that stemmed from the abuse when I saw the girl's father throw her against a wall.
